Anyone who has ever read a #legal document or even hospital discharge #paperwork and scratched their head in confusion will appreciate this one. At The National Press Club in Washington on Tuesday a group called The Center for #PlainLanguage gave its #award for the most #incomprehensible use of the English language to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Alabama shutting down driver's license system at end of April

The #Alabama Department of Public Safety’s #Driver #License Division is scheduling a #database conversion that will #disable all systems, including #online #services. The shutdown will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, April 25, and end 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 30.

States near new rules on license plate readers

State #lawmakers around the country continue to take strides to impose #rules on a growing trend to track #drivers’ movements through #automated #license #plate #scanners. #Cameras to capture the date, time and #location of vehicles are used in some capacity by about 600 local and state #police departments and other state and #federal agencies, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

As I've said before, luckily, I haven't needed a tow truck often in my life.  But when I have, I've also had the good fortune to meet courteous drivers who charged reasonable rates.  They took great care with my vehicles, too.  I bet that's the majority - good folks.
