Friday, January 20, will be “the Most Patriotic Day in Kentucky” with the return of Boots in the Bluegrass at the Kentucky Horse Park! Making a lasting impact on the veteran community, the event raises funds for charity partners and has worked to provide three mortgage-free home grants to deserving military families.

This year’s event features live performances by the Jordan English Band, emcees Heather French Henry and Marty Preston, a great live auction, barbeque dinner and much more. Proceeds benefit USA Cares. Admission is free for all veterans with a valid ID (encouraged to register online). For more information visit https://www.kyhorsepark.com/events/boots-bluegrass-1.

My family has attended the Southern Lights there for the last 5 years. We love this tradition. It's always so fun and exciting. There were quite a few light displays that were either missing lights or were completely out this year. Other than that everyone had a wonderful time.

Grew up going here for camping with my grandparents. Great childhood memories. Now we make memories with our son because we go to southern lights for his birthday in December, every year!

Kentucky Bluegrass landscape at it's finest with amazing museums. We camped at the beautiful Horse park campground during the opening of "Southern Lights" Christmas lighting display. We spent a full day in the park (discount tickets available when you camp) Although this time of the year many horse related activities are suspended, we toured all of the barns and venues with no crowds.

The employees are very knowledgeable, pleased to help you, and always have a smile on there face. It is relaxing and you never feel swarmed by people even on a holiday weekend. We just love goiong.😃

Southern Light have been much better in the past with the money you are taking in you need to fix all of the blown bulbs. It is bad this year. Not worth the 15 dollars.

Pleasing to the eye, but insular localized staff. Had prepaid days, left in truck camper to horse park, got back 2 hours later and my rain tarp covered large pile of firewood was taken. Found it days later in camp host's site!!! Reported to camp office and received bad attitude and a threat to call police on me!!! I requested it be returned but they put it in the wrong campsite. You would think they would know where they got it from and put it back there so I told her the second time to please have him move it to my campsite where he got it from and she copped an attitude with me again will never camp here again. Too hillbillay for this Angelino.
