I'm not a chocolate connoisseur, or not even much of a sweets person.  But since we tried this several years ago, it has become an instant benchmark to compare all chocolate (Swiss or otherwise).  The taste is just magical.  The particular dark assortment of Läderach (28.50CHF =~ $30) has since become the must shopping mission on my Swiss trip every time, as I cannot yet find it anywhere else.

ああそうなんだ。フランクフルト空港にもあると聞いて、そこもまたスイスに関係ない出張の際には便利な経由地なので暮れに行ってみたのですが、そこのLäderach も昨年で閉店だった。空港の人に聞いてみたら they didn't do well だそうな。。。

St. George's Monastery in Wadi Qelt, a Greek Orthodox institution dating back to 5th century, located amidst Judaean Desert in the West Bank.  The aqueduct leading to Jericho is said to be even older.

Chic enough to have an anniversary dinner with your wife and the staff makes it feel to be a special occasion, yet casual enough that you can take you kids and enjoy their signature pizzas. In fact, we were there on our 20th anniversary based on a strong recommendation from our restauranteur friend, and at that time, there were at least 3 large families with kids, but we never felt bothered or awkward. In fact we'd love to take our kid here next time. We aren't big meat eaters, but pork terrine (house-made) and pork sugo pappardelle, even in succession, were just great and never too heavy. Great selection of wine, and if you don't know which one to have by the glass, they still let you taste a few varieties. All the staff is all friendly yet professional. I called ahead to prepare a small cake to celebrate our anniversary with some message on it, and they just did it at the right moment to my wife's surprise. No reminder was needed on the premises. They just made it happen. The decor: as you can see in the inside view photos, the restaurant is just one big hall, but acoustic is never a problem (the lattice of joists on the ceiling must help diffuse sound), and light coming in from the western side near the sunset hours (there's a park on the west side, so no obstruction) gave just the right glow to start the evening, with the white walls and wood trimming and floor giving bright yet warm ambience. The view of the large, open, and impeccably clean kitchen with half a dozen neatly dressed staff working in a busy yet very coordinated fashion adds an upbeat rhythm to complement the otherwise relaxed and static interior. So...food is great, staff is friendly, place looks great, and things just work. And easy on your wallet (for this quality), and oh, plenty of parking available, around this area of SF. What not to like!?

Fantastic. Went in there thinking we'll get some meat dish, but trout fajita smelled so good as the wait staff carried it to another table, sizzling on its hot cast iron plate, so we changed our mind instantly, and never regretted it! Living in California, I thought I had a fair share of Mexican dishes, but this fajita was by far the best. (Not that I claim any "mexican authenticity"...it's just the flavor, taste and the way it was prepared here was so good.) Very family friendly with plenty of kids dishes. Do book in advance - it's bustling with people, many of them were multi-generation families on this holiday week (President's Day).

By far one of our favorite locations in Tuscany. Still visit there every few years as a family.

We stopped by with kids for lunch. Simple place, but friendly staff, and the tarte flambée was just great.

Great appetizers. Carpaccio, ceviche, roasted artichoke... Had them with gyro. Kanafe for dessert was awesome.

What a hidden gem. Great service with very reasonable prices. My wife and had a lunch, splitting 4 tapas and a soup between us and it worked out real well. Uploaded what we had on the photos (yucca, black bean and quinoa taco, two types of pupusa - they made a great combination).

Great location in the midst of Tuscan hills, surrounded by vine fields and olive tree farm. The main building, we were told, from 1600s (with modern renovation inside of course) and I couldn't take enough pictures of this classy structure. Food is great at the restaurant, and we had an awesome pizza night on a Saturday where they fire up the wood fire oven to bake a variety of pizzas for the guests. The owners take great care in managing the property and ensuring guests have a good time. They offer a variety of accommodation types (apartments to B&B-style rooms/suites to villas), so be sure to describe your needs when booking.
