Ephemeral video may find its time and place within the media landscape. However, predictions of its success may have been exaggerated. Brands will be reticent to engage in completely disposable promotional activities. Consumers will either want memories of an event or to be fully present in the moment. That is, they should experience the events through their own eyes rather than the optics of their phone's camera. I still think there is a value, especially centered around customer support and troubleshooting. It just won't be the mass broadcasts that will easily be monetized.
