OK Go's music videos are consistently jaw-dropping… but this one takes the cake.

"We will explore the unique role that stories and the craft of storytelling can serve in a world where issues of gender, technology, environment, and social justice are causing everyday folk to reexamine ideas and values."

I'm a recent fan of YOURLS, a free, open-source link shortener. It's like bit.ly, but runs on your own domain. It includes clickthru stats, the ability to edit existing short URLs, a plugin architecture, and more. Integration with WordPress was the cincher, allowing me to create short URLs right from the post editor.
About YOURLS. What is YOURLS. YOURLS stands for Your Own URL Shortener. It is a small set of PHP scripts that will allow you to run your own URL shortening service (a la TinyURL or bitly). Running your own URL shortener is fun, geeky and useful: you own your data and don't depend on third party ...

My friend +Laura Meilman has sketched all of Boston's 121 subway stops! Her artwork is now available as a 2016 calendar. Learn more in this Metro article I was interviewed for.
Cobbled together over more than a century, dressed up with art and traveled by nearly everyone from nearly everywhere, it’s a unique and dynamic beast, this train system of ours.

The data from 200 floppies belonging to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry has been recovered—though its rescuers aren't saying what they found.
When Gene Roddenberry's computer died, it took the only method of accessing some 200 floppy disks of his unpublished work. Here's how this tech mystery was solved.

Ditto, +Lisa Mayer. Perhaps I just need some inspiration — I'd like to see an example of it being used effectively.

Introduction
I am a writer, editor, and social media strategist on the subjects of IT, electronic entertainment, and human interest. I primarily write for Computerworld about Apple, content management systems, and retrocomputing. Whenever possible, I explore in writing, podcasting, and event management my personal interests in the Apple II, multiple sclerosis, and genre films and literature. And apparently, I like lists.

Great service and prices — but once you are in their customer database, they will NEVER, EVER leave you alone. No matter how many times you call or email, leave messages or speak with humans, explaining that you have moved out of the area and are unable to be their customer any longer, they will regularly call you asking if your vehicle needs service. One representative even told me they don't have a mechanism for removing customers. I eventually had them update my profile with bogus information, just to leave me alone.

As a vegetarian, I didn't realize Café Gratitude goes one step further by offering fully vegan selections. I was delighted to be able to order anything off the menu, something I can rarely do anywhere else. The mawkish dish names ("I Am Transformed", "I Am Inspired") were not very descriptive — but it was more than made up for when the server placed my dish in front of me, looked me in the eye, and said, "You are Extraordinary." :-) The restaurant has a pleasant layout and atmosphere, and our server, Leslie, one of the café's original staff, was attentive and friendly.

Two friends and I visited this pub on a Saturday night. We had a GREAT time, with a pirate band that came to our table to make sure we got a taste of their offerings. Dancers, wenches, and more provided entertainment the likes of which we wouldn't find anywhere else. Add some generous serving sizes, and we went home happy!
