Two film makers, Ryan Cook, a native of Waterville, Maine, and Derek Desmond of Shelburne N.H. are working to make a feature length film about Donn Fendler, who, as a 12 year old, was lost on Mount Katahdin in Maine for nine days in 1939. They have made a 20 minute proof of concept film with a planned release in July. They hope to start filming the feature length movie next summer. This is a link to a 40 second trailer for the short version. It is very well done. I hope they can raise the money to film the movie.
You can follow their progress and learn more about Donn, on "Lost On A Mountain In Maine" on Facebook.
