Could you provide us with some historical examples (possibly recordings) of bands like Benny Goodman or Artie Shaw doing this before 1940?

So I just listened to all of those recordings. Of specific note, there's a major difference between the drums in this video and those of Jo Jones. There's no ride with Jo. He focuses mostly on the snare and high hat. Why is there such a difference?

By the way, that's Will Brown and Jony Nevarro in the remake for Michael and Frida. They are in Clemson/Greenville, SC.

If you want to learn this dance, please go to reddit and /r/swingdancing and ask where you can learn and tell us where you live! We will try to help connect you with local Lindy hop instructors. Anyone can learn this dance, and there are plenty of people that would love to teach you.

If you live in the south east of the U.S., I can direct you to almost every Lindy group there.

The owner is super friendly and has amazing sandwich suggestions. I feel like a valued customer every time I go in the store. Also, the subs are AMAZING. The fresh cut meats make a big difference. Go in and try a #4 or a #99, you won't find them on the menu, but trust me. It's great.

It is easily the best dining experience I have had at a Mediterranean restaurant. Trad Jazz over the speakers, a top-notch waiter, good lentil soup, the best pita I've ever tasted, and the best Chicken Florentine I've ever seen or tasted. I've also been there 2 other times. Once with a large group, and another time by myself. I've had the Lamb Tagine and the Gyro Combo. The Turkish/Greek Coffee was very good too. Dolmas are a good staple there and well done. Nothing I have had there is disappointing to me.

My first time here was amazing. My girlfriend and I went with the 2 for 30 early bird. The appetizers were small, but amazing in quality (Had fried mozzarella and bruschetta). I got a Caesar salad and my girlfriend got the beef and vegetable soup. Both were the best of each that I had had in recent memory. The main entries were also amazing. We had the penne al vodka (penne with a vodka sauce) with chicken and the chicken francaise with parmesan risotto (a two dollar up charge that was worth every penny). This was from a month ago, and I remember all of the things that we ate. I can hardly remember what I had for dinner last week even when it is good. So it goes without saying that this place was amazing. If you don't like the food here, I can only assume you ordered something odd that you just don't like because it certainly isn't because of the quality. I plan on going back every time I am in Myrtle Beach.

Best pizzas that I had in Trento. The buffalina was particularly good. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of waiters that speak English or German if your Italian isn't up to snuff.

It's the closest to Italy I've been in terms of every food they present that I have had (and I've spent a few months there). The tomato basil soup was great, the paninis are good, and the cake I had was great. I haven't had their coffee/expresso yet, but seriously the gelato is as close as you can get in the southeast. If you want a tasty treat in Knoxville, this is a great place to go.

I love going here for lunch or dinner. Whenever I want good Chinese food in Knoxville I go here. I've never had a bad dish here and I regularly try new things. Somethings I don't like as much, but it's just my tastes. The hot n' sour soup is simply the best I have had.
