Brand Storytelling

According to Eric Kim of Twylah, storytelling is the most important way to convey your brand message, and the future of advertising will revolve more around narratives and storytelling as a result.

But why and how does storytelling work?  And why would you, as a brand, choose to shift your current, more traditional brand messages to stories?

In this video, you’ll discover why.

Following are the two blog posts referenced:

Can you tell a brand story on Twitter?  Is it possible in 140 characters?

According to Eric Kim, not necessarily in 140 characters, but if you analyze and organize a person’s tweets over time, themes can be detected and narratives emerge.

Why is this important?

• To provide greater clarity around your brand’s content and values
• To give you inspiration for more content around particular themes
• To build a deeper connection with your customers and fans

Kelly Kim (co founder of Twylah) interviews Eric Kim (CEO & Founder of Twylah) on his inspiration for Twylah and how it came to be a concrete idea and product.

Eric also discusses what he calls the "Twitter phenomenon" and what he feels the REAL Twitter revolution is about.

Listen as Eric discusses how the most revolutionary byproduct of Twitter is not the realtime nature of events or happenings around the world, but instead the real Twitter revolution is about the opportunities Twitter gives us for authentic self-expression and how we can use this opportunity to transform our lives in positive ways.
