I created this University of North Carolina Tar Heels watch face by editing the Texas A&M face created by +Jon Howe here: https://plus.google.com/101949503331654328023/posts/7MawTRpzXVe.  I haven't seen many UNC faces available, so I thought I'd share this one with anyone who wants it.  Go Tar Heels!

Yesterday the Nuclear Sub family lost one of their own - David Sopko. David's fandom and activities have intersected with my own on many occasions. David was a longtime supporter of the FIRE & WATER PODCAST, he and I were foundering members of the +Legion of Super-Bloggers together, he and I were also contributors to the Ultraverse Network, and we shared a love for Blue Devil (which David had just co-founded a podcast about with Justin Barlow - Shout At The Devil).

I had the honor of meeting David face-to-face this past August in his hometown. We ate breakfast at one of his favorite spots, and he seemed to know everyone in the place. Folks kept stopping by to visit with him. It was obvious he was a loved and respected member of his community. I really enjoyed our time together. He was so proud (beaming in fact) at his children's accomplishments. David and I were "internet friends" on the path to becoming real friends. I'm saddened that we'll never get the chance to know each other better.
David was a vital part of the Nuclear Sub family and he will be missed.

Below is a message from my FIRE & WATER PODCAST co-host +Robert Kelly of +The Aquaman Shrine
It is with great sadness I report that a member of the Nuclear Sub family, David Sopko, passed away last night from the infection that attacked him just a few days ago. I never met David, but he was a true geek and Shagg Matthews and I enjoyed getting his emails and comments about our show.
He leaves behind a wife and two children, whose grief must be bottomless right now. A few days ago I posted a link to a fundraise for medical costs, and sadly now it is for funeral expenses. I ask all Nuclear Subs to share this link again and take a moment to think warm thoughts about David and his family. https://www.gofundme.com/qz9mbvf8
Fan the flame and ride the wave, pal.
