Taming Gmail

Been working on implementing some of Googler Greg Wilson's cockpit as he likes to call it.

Can't stand the dark theme (I use a light gray theme on mine) but I love the use of multiple inboxes to prioritize what you are working on.

The use of the @Waiting label and including that in one of the inboxes is really nice. This week, I sent out multiple plans for RFP's and 1 for permitting, until I get answered I can leave it in that label, keeping it in front of me more.

Using the stars for other prioritization works for me as well, it's easy to use.

I still need a lot of work on the keyboard shortcuts, but will be tackling that too!

Any Gmail tips/tricks you can suggest? I live in my email so love these power user type articles.

A few weeks ago, I realized that I sucked at email. I was missing important emails or simply forgetting to reply because I got distracted…

Rubbish - don't waist your time on this article. This article is a great example of someone falling victim to the fallacy of correlation being the same as causation. Sure, people who make their bed might be the kind of people who enjoy routine and thus be more productive, but to assume that starting a routine like making your bed will cause a person who is routine adverse to suddenly start following other routines is unsound.

Looking forward to getting mine in a few weeks! The DSLR bokeh effect in the 7plus camera looks pretty good!
The iPhone 7 is the biggest thing in tech happening this month. Of the two new iPhones, the iPhone 7 Plus is the one that stands out thanks to its dual-lens iSight Duo camera system that packs both…

Ok +Randy Milanovic I just snagged this one that is brewed with some rare coffee beans that a weasel literally eats and then shits back out.

This is one of many reasons I cannot support Hillary. Why on earth does the government deserve to take even one single penny of a family's estate? It's been taxed as it was earned and was continued to be taxed, then when it goes from a father to a son, or a mother to a daughter or whatever the case is, it will continue to be taxed.
Hillary Clinton on Thursday announced an increase to her proposed top estate tax rate in her latest nod to Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Bulleit is excellent, and anything Buffalo Trace ranks high, I especially like Col. E. H. Taylor stuff right now. So is Basil Hayden.

I still really want to try the Barrel Bourbon (on the list)

We had reservations for 6:45 after getting married earlier in the day. We arrived about an hour early and sat at the bar for a few cocktails, the staff was unbelievably hospitable, and the bartender made some wonderful bourbon recommendations. We were seated promptly at 6:45, she ordered a roasted filet (medium) I ordered a grilled NY Strip (medium rare) and we shared an order of the gratin potatoes and mixed mushroom. Everything was perfect, and maybe the best steak I have ever had. Oh, and the bread with the crunchy salted crust! WOW.

I play at this course 1-2 times a month, it has truly come a long way in the last decade. GPS on ALL golf carts, NEVER cart path only, and the best hot dogs ever at the clubhouse!. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the course is well kept. My favorite course this side of town.

Always nice rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. I do wish they would leave a couple of regular glasses in the rooms, the dixie cups only last one drink before they are leaking from the bottom. Do that and you get 5 stars.

For the most part had a good stay, need fridge in room for late night cocktails and snacks though! They tried to double charge me for valet parking but removed it when I brought it up. Overall good stay, great location walking distance to everything downtown have to offer!
