You can help me by writing a short review!

If I have done work for you and you've been pleased with the results, I would appreciate it TREMENDOUSLY if you would take a moment and leave a review on one or both of the two sites below, Yelp and Google Business. If you know of other sites where you can leave reviews, that would be appreciated as well. Also, I have flyers and business cards available outside the door of my office if you would like to share them with family, friends, coworkers, etc. Thank you!

Just had to give a customer some bad news. Some of you may find it interesting. She brought her computer in to have it upgraded to Windows 10, on the last day. No problem. When I looked on the computer, it had a sticker for Windows Vista (which can't be upgraded to 10 for free). So I asked about it. She said she had paid someone to upgrade it to Windows 7, and I asked her how much she paid. I knew from the price she quoted that this person could not have legally upgraded her to Windows 7, and sure enough as I dug into it, the other person had installed a "hacked" copy of Windows 7, which can't be upgraded, and can't even receive security updates. Now my customer has a computer that isn't safe to use at all because of an unscrupulous "computer repair" person.

Be careful who you allow to do work on your computer, and if the price seems to low, it is.

LAST WARNING!

WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE NO LONGER FREE AFTER TODAY!

Now, bear with me. I don't care if you don't "like" Windows 10. It's still only a smart move to get a free license for it while you can, because you WILL want it down the road.

Here is what you should do. Upgrade immediately, now, this minute. Get it done. Get the machine up and running on Windows 10. Here's the trick....you can IMMEDIATELY roll it back to 7 or 8 and keep using it, but you have secured your license and you can upgrade to Windows 10 on THAT computer without charge whenever you want to.

Don't miss the free license...do the upgrade and roll back if you must, but do it.

There are going to be a LOT of unhappy people in a few weeks, because they didn't pay attention.

IF YOU DID A CLEAN INSTALL WITHOUT UPGRADING, YOU HAVE A NON-LICENSED SYSTEM.  Even if it says activated, it has activated with a generic key.  You can verify this using ProduKey, and the list of generic keys below.  If you see one of these keys on your system, you are NOT licensed and your OS will time out later on.

YOU CANNOT START WITH A CLEAN INSTALL. PERIOD. END OF STORY.  You MUST, MUST, MUST upgrade a WORKING installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 to achieve a licensed copy of Windows 10.  There is no rebuttal to this.  This is how it is.  It has been confirmed and reconfirmed.

You CANNOT enter a Windows 7 or 8 key to circumvent this process.  You will end up with one of the generic keys below which WILL stop working.

These are the generic keys.  I've blocked them out partially on purpose. If you have one of these keys on your system, you have performed your installation WRONG.  You can use Produkey (found at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html)  or other tools to view your key.
