Props to this store for first class customer service, excellent value and prompt delivery. I bought a backpack from them online that I'd been having trouble finding locally; I received it within the week, and even with the shipping costs got a great deal. An email enquiry about delivery was answered within minutes with the information I'd requested. Highly recommended for online purchases based on my experience.

Fantastic learning experience. As part of my first season backcountry skiing, I booked a Mt Baker ski tour with Peregrine Expeditions. It was a great way to build on the skills acquired during the AST1 avalanche training course I took during the early part of the season. Joseph is an amazing guide: his knowledge of the Baker backcountry and the different conditions that can be encountered in every area is encyclopedic, and he had the time and patience to coach each member of the group through specific areas where we were encountering problems (in my case, kick turns on steep terrain) while also ensuring that we covered enough ground to achieve some very satisfying objectives and built our confidence along the way. The small group size (maximum four people) meant that we got plenty of individual attention, and I feel very strongly that Peregrine offered a much more personal and attentive experience than a larger company might have offered. We've just booked a second tour to build on the accomplishments of the first; I can't wait.
