When you teach, you put your heart and soul into it. You laugh and you cry with your students. Same goes with my coaching clients...we're a team.

So true..."Education is about preparing kids for life, and public education is about helping people have equal opportunity, helping those who don't have as much money have a more level playing field," says Ali Partovi, co-founder of Code.org.

Age is never a barrier. That's just a story we tell ourselves. Think back to all those days in your youth when you got served and never should have, or when we told our suitors that we're older or younger than we were at that time*. We told ourselves then that our true age didn't matter...lucky for us, it still doesn't matter!! Go forth and live your life boldly!

* not that anyone of us, myself include would ever do such a thing ;-)

Let's face it, sometimes, life and all it entails can leave us feeling overwhelmed. Here's a little help to get through that overwhelm next time it comes by to visit.
How to cast off the feeling of overwhelm, focus on what really matters, and get down to business in a tough situation.

Thanks for showing how to eat the lupini (?) beans. I've never had them. But I do love a good charcuterie board.  Where is the bread from?

I absolutely agree...computer science is for everyone. And it touches nearly ever job or day to day activity in one way or another. Which is why I pushed for teaching it to my middle schoolers a couple years ago.  Even when my supervisor said not to.

Hmmm..I think I'm going to be a little bummed that G+ won't be sticking around. I'm not really surprised - and I honestly never really got into it as much as I'd hoped - but I'm such a Google Fan Girl.  What can I say?

Avoid this location if you can. The past two times we've ordered here the experience was bad. The first time around, the online tracker wasn't working (or someone wasn't doing their job with the tracker - not sure if it's automated or manual) and we went from waiting for the pizza to enter the oven, to it was waiting for pick up in mere moments. Which meant our pizzas were congealed and cold. This time around I opted for delivery (even with the "delivery fee" that isn't for the driver). Again, my pizza was cold and my soda was warm (as in not even refrigerated). Can't say this cold gluten free pizza and a warm Coke was worth the $20 I ended up paying for it. Needless to say, we won't be using this location again. We'll stick to the Glenoak location (which is closer, but doesn't deliver).
