Thanks for such a great giveaway! I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a complete Moleskine addict :) They're the best!
So here it is, The Helvetica Moleskine Christmas Giveaway has finally landed! I've been hanging on to these for a good few years now in the hope I might round to actually using them,

I'm planning to read Mary's entire 117-page deck -- perfect poolside fodder, don't you think? In the meantime, +Expion's Jeannette Arrowood has a concise breakdown of this year's Internet trends that you can finish in a few minutes.

Do you know of a Google Reader alternative that lets you categorize your feeds with tags and follow those tags with individual RSS feeds? If so, we need you!

It's surprising (and a little freaky) at just how much personal information your Facebook likes can reveal. Does a report like this change how you use Facebook?

Your thoughts?

"According to Penton, Google+ can be a powerful way to manage a company reputation, especially when businesses merge their Google Page with Google Local. The problem though, says Penton, is that too many business use Google+ to repost content from other news outlets. He says it’s also important to post content about the business, particularly specials, incentives, stories about happy customers and even new product displays."
Businesses should merge their G+ Page with Google Local for powerful optimization in today's 'Google search society.'

Yes this:

"'People aren’t searching for businesses on Google+,' he says. Still, with the deep integration of Google+ into other Google properties, content from the G+ business pages will show up alongside the search results. But businesses have to optimize their Google Pages properly."

This is the true power of the platform.  A co-worker of mine has a Blogger blog she's maintained for a few years now and she's got over 10 million views, as recorded by Google+.  Those aren't all from Google+, clearly, but from Google searches that end up leading to the blog.

It can absolutely be a powerful platform, especially when used appropriately.

Need more blog traffic? Pinterest might just be your answer!

Why Pinterest is AWESOME for Traffic Generation
http://www.ohsopinteresting.com/why-pinterest-is-awesome-for-traffic-generation/

Beep beep! Get ready for more blog traffic with these great tips from +Cynthia Sanchez

"Sure, we know the images pinned from your site are links back to your site but, there’s much more Pinterest’s  traffic power than that.

The link attached to the pin is just one way, here are MORE ways"

1. When you click a pin to enlarge, there's a website button at the top that shows where the image was pinned.

2. You can add clickable URLs to your pin descriptions.

3. Your website show in the "other pins from section" next to each of your pins from your website.

These are just a few tricks, more on the full article at
Oh so Pinteresting!

I'm, what, 15 years late to the party? But I've finally fallen down "The West Wing" rabbit hole. Can't go wrong with Sorkin!

Tagline
#KC-loving Online Content Marketing Manager and occasional freelance writer/blogger. Seasoned wordsmith. Voracious learner. Unabashed bookworm.
Introduction
I'm a Kansas City-based freelance writer and editor with nearly a decade of magazine writing, blogging, digital marketing and editing experience. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in magazine journalism, I've embarked on a career that's taken me to all corners of the writing world.

I've written everything from real estate advertorial and business profiles to local interest pieces and client-directed corporate blogs. Among my career highlights? Writing a three-part series for regional publication, LV Mag, on the underground city beneath Leavenworth, Kan., the first installment of which prompted a local news story that was picked up by CNN. And in March 2010, I published my first book, Moon Kansas City, part of the Avalon Travel library.

Writing isn't just what I do; it's who I am (sorry, Carrie Bradshaw). We all have a story to tell and I'm ready to write yours.
