How is everyone's weekend going? I had a weekend to remember... starting out with a Birthday Celebration at Madonna Inn, followed by a Horseback Trail Ride and finished the day with a Family Photo Shoot at the Pismo Beach Dunes. Check out these insanely pink photos from the Inn and look out for an upcoming preview from the latest Beach Shoot. Happy Weekend Everyone!

Another quick trip is in the books. This time we hit the road and headed down I-5 to Modesto and then up to Yosemite National Park. Got a nice surprise along the way with all these trees in full bloom. From what I found out, they're supposedly Almond trees but I do not know for sure. I do know however that I am super happy with some of the photos of these trees that I was able to get. It was a truly magnificent sight of just white petals going on an on for acres. And standing in a tree tunnel was a cool experience as well... an experience which thankfully didn't get me shot for sneaking onto someone's private property and/or stung by one of the million bees being drawn to these sweet smelling flowers.

Onto Yosemite, which sits at around 5000 ft. above sea level with some of it's highest peaks in the 8000's ft. The park is just gorgeous and these photos don't do it justice at all. I don't think the massiveness (is that a word?) of the mountains really comes through in them, but I did try my best to capture the beauty nonetheless.

We did do a quick hike down to the Mirror Lake which due to the dry season was more like Rock Lake, but still very pretty. Also got some nice shots down by the river and from the famous Tunnel Where you can see the peaks of The Half Dome, El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls.

All in all, it was a super fun trip and I'm looking forward to coming back sometime in the summer with the Half Dome Hike on my Bucket List :-)

Update 01/10
So it's been 8 days since I started my walking every day challenge and so far so good. I have walked each of those days and accumulated 13.5 miles so far. And even though it's not a huge number, it's something. It's something because it means that I have gotten off my butt each and every day and made an effort to go out there and be active.  Unfortunately, I don't have too many photos to show for it as I've been taking my doggies along on those walks and it's a little tough caring a camera and walking two dogs at the same time, one pulling ahead and the other dragging behind... but I just feel so guilty not taking them with me. Might have to reconsider this though, as Ali is ready to collapse at about the 2 mile mark, which limits me even more. No excuses though... gotta keep going or hey... maybe walk twice? Once alone and once with the doggies :-)
