Well if that isn't just plum adorable

A while back I was at Disneyland and I asked the most adorable little old lady working in one of the shops if she had any Madame Leota merchandise from the Haunted Mansion. She had no idea which character I was talking about and turned to tell her coworker, "He's looking for Madame Yoda. Do we have any Madame Yoda?" Hahaha I laughed about that for the rest of the day and decided that I needed to draw Madame Yoda! So, what better time to do it than for my favorite holiday! Happy Halloween friends! Have fun and be safe! May the Haunted Mansion and The Force be with you! #LOL #HappyHalloween #MadameLeota #Yoda #Mashup #Disney #HauntedMansion #StarWars #GlennArthurArt

The breakfast here is wonderful! There is never a wait, the food comes out fast, and the prices are fair. The waitresses are just okay, but they do have an incredible and sweet older busboy who is absolutely charming! After a hike at Land's End across the street, the Seal Rock Inn's breakfast burrito is just about the best thing that can happen to you. Keep in mind, you have to walk through the Inn's entrance to get to the Restaurant. You don't have to stay there to go to it.

Those burritos, those burritos. Yes. Just go. They are incredible. They are fast. They are filling. The spicy sauce is a downright delight. Get a Dr. Pepper, go crazy. SJSU student? Get 10% off. Glob, this place is goooooood!

Really great school, but it is mostly what you make of it. As a transfer student, I find that the school is interested in helping you succeed and offers a lot of opportunities for you to get involved, get help, and get through. Once you are in your program (can only vouch for Teachers Prep), the teachers are so good and dedicated to helping you move through the class and are pretty centered around helping you learn what you need to for your career. Only trouble I have had with the school was hang-ups at admissions, but after talking to so many different administrative branches and programs at this point (transfer admissions/financial aid/different departments regarding courses and waivers/counseling dept) I really appreciate how easy they are to get ahold of and how willing and effective they are to help you through your issue. Honestly, commuting sucks, but it is really worth it for the quality of education SJSU offers. Plus, the campus is rather pretty with lots of nooks and crannies around campus, is conveniently located, and is heavily connected to its community and the cities around it.

DAVIDsTEA is a delish dish! The ladies that work at the location on 24th are extremely friendly and wildly knowledgable. They let you take your time to mull over all the choices (there is a huge variety!) and let you smell every tea while they tell you what is in it. You never feel rushed, even when there is a line forming. Great tasting tea that is about $3 per cup. Love going back and trying new ones each time!

I went to at least 6 other Bridal Salons to try on dresses, getting a variety of services from very poor to wonderful, before coming to Rin's. My mother wanted me to come here from the beginning because she had such a great experience getting my sister's graduation gown (had to be an all white gown) a couple of years ago. She swore up and down that this would be the place I would get my gown, so I made an appointment. Well, per usual, my mother was on the money. We came in right when it opened and had the whole place to ourselves. I explained what kind of dress I was looking for and what kind of budget I had to the super nice and helpful sales girl, Katie, and she set off picking out dresses she thought would work. I tried on about 10 dresses: I was never rushed, was properly helped into the dresses and my heels, was clipped appropriately to show what it would look like, and got to take my time in every dress to sit/stand/move/check it out the three way mirror. (That doesn't sound like a big deal..until you've been to salons that make you feel rushed, don't clip you or clip you too aggressively, or just make you get into your own gown like you are at the mall trying on summer dresses) I narrowed it down between two dresses, and Katie was so helpful and nice about letting me yo-yo between dresses and helpful in discussing options to add sleeves. Rin, the owner, was around the whole time as well to offer her thoughts and suggestions. I ended up buying my dream dress (with the addition of sleeves) at a great price with no hassle-they keep it at the store for you (if you'd like, just to make it easier for you) until you come back for alterations and the final pick-up. Honestly, it was so easy and I felt so great about the store and the experience. I definitely recommend Rin's to any bride looking for a unique gown and for a good experience in finding that gown. Do not let the appearance of the outside or inside of the store deceive you: the dresses are beautiful and good quality-give it a chance. It can be very worth your time!

Stopped in while waiting for a restaurant to open and was surprisingly delighted by this unassuming coffee shop! Just got a regular black coffee (to stay), but it was SO good. My sister had the almond croissant, and I have to say, it is the best croissant I have ever had in my life! (...and I was obsessed with them in my youth) We also got an almond butter cookie that just melts in your mouth...incredible. As in lick the crumbs off the plate incredible. The decor is funky and charming and eclectic and alllll packed into this tiny little spot. The woman who worked there (who I think owned the shop) was absolutely lovely! This is a great little gem of a spot and I will absolutely stop back in when in the area!
