Have you ever seen a summer bucket list for families? Each year I vow to have my crew make one and each year we fail. So this year I decided to make a bucket list just for me! Wish me luck! As always, thank you so much for your constant support of me and my crazy dishwasher!
A Summer Bucket List for Mom: As the unofficial start of summer kicks off I have decided to make a Summer Bucket list for mom.

Feeling a little stressed out over all you have to do for the end of the school year? Not sure if you are stressed out? Take my quiz on Scary Mommy!
You may not know whether your stress level just requires a few deep breaths and a cup of tea, or if you are in full overload mode that demands a week in Hawaii.

Mother's Day is almost here. After 16 years of celebrating it as a mom I have come to (happily) realize that I'm very blessed it just another day! As always thank you so much for your constant support of me and my very possessed dishwasher!
It's Just Another Day: Mother's day can be fun but after 16 years of celebrating it as a mom I have come to realize that I'm blessed it's just another day.

Gosh I remember that feeling of being super pregnant and caring for little ones. The only good thing about it is that since I was already hanging out with people who wet their pants I didn't feel as bad! Very funny!

Lizzy is starting a new school next year, but apparently it's me who still has a lot to learn! As always thank you for your support!
The Next Frontier for a Princess & Her Mom: Lizzy is changing schools next year. I don't know who has more to learn, the princess or me!

Growing up with dyslexia in the 70's and 80's was not fun. When we found out that Tom also had dyslexia I made it my mission to shield him from the frustration that I experienced. But I recently learned that I can't and that's okay.
Solving the Frustration Equation: I wanted to shield my dyslexic son from the frustration that I dealt with as a kid. I learned I can't and that's okay

Some days I really feel on top of my parenting and know I'm doing a good job. Then there are all the other days. As always, thank you for supporting me and my crazy dishwasher!

Each time I spell the word love I think of the little girl who taught me how to do it. As always thank you for your constant support of me and the crazed appliance!
How I Learned to Spell Love: There are some people we never, ever forget. Each time I spell the word love I think of my childhood friend, Carol.

Wouldn't it be great if whenever life got painful or difficult all we had to do was skip ahead a few chapters and find out that everything turned out fine? I thought of this Wednesday when Joe and I spent the day in NYC with LIzzy going to her doctors appointments. As always thank you for your ongoing support of me and the crazed appliance. xo
The Page Turner: Wouldn't it be great if life was just like a book and whenever it got painful or confusing all you had to do was skip to the end?

It seems impossible that it was ten years ago that I got the best surprise of my life and learned that sometimes the best things that can happen to us are the things we don't plan. As always thank you for your support of me and the possessed dishwasher!

Introduction

I am a mom to three, wife to one and the owner of a possessed appliance who still finds it hard to believe that the woman who didn’t even have an email address till the fall of 2010, is now a full fledged blogger, social media addict and published author. This all came about after years of doctors, teachers and friends encouraging me to write about our life with three children who have a variety of learning differences, including our daughter who has extensive special needs. The Dishwasher has been running here since January of 2011. In the Spring of 2012, I co-founded the online magazine Bonbon Break and then happily returned to my beloved Dishwasher full time in July of 2013. My work has been featured in BlogHer and Mamapedia among other publications. I am also honored to have essays in the anthologies, Sunshine After the Storm and The HerStories Project. Have a question? Please feel free to contact me at, kathyradigan@hotmail.com, I look forward to hearing from you!
