I finally got my cracked Pixel screen fixed by a Jacksonville, Florida uBreakiFix shop today. I had to wait for the white front to come in, which wasn't in stock the day I first took my phone to the shop. When they ordered the part, they asked if I wanted to get a tempered glass protector (I had no protector), which comes with a 2-year warranty.

Well, the job looks great. It took about a half hour, and I'm glad I got there when they first opened. It was a busy place when I came back to pick it up. I was a little unhappy to see that the protector was not full cover. It's their brand; I don't know who makes it. But supposedly that avoids the halo you can get on the slightly curved edge. Hey, I didn't even know the Pixel glass was slightly curved! I think full cover might have also interfered with my LiveCase? I'll have to get used to it. I really don't like the skimpy look. Will dust collect on the edge?

Overall, I'm pleased with the repair. The glass was $129.99. The tempered glass protector and warranty was $49.99. If the screen breaks in the 2-yr. warranty period, replacement will be just $9.

In all my years of cell phone ownership (since 1998?), I have never dropped my phone. Sadly, that record is shattered, along with my Pixel screen. Has anyone used uBreakiFix? Were you happy with the results?

Up until last Thursday (4 days ago), my Pixel battery life was outstanding. I would brag to my husband, when his phone battery was practically dead, that mine would be at something like 78% at 10pm - after having been off the charger for 16 hours. But over the last 4 days, it's been very poor; I've had to plug it in mid-day. Right now I'm down to 40% after only 7 hours. And I haven't used my phone any more than usual. Which, during the work day, is minimal. I don't see anything weirdly high on the list for usage. Sometimes it's been screen, other times Android System, even then, less than 10% of overall usage. Any thoughts about what might be going on?

My Pixel was delivered today, and I'm in the midst of copying everything over from my 5X, using the cable included. It's been over a half hour now, and the process seems to be stopped at "2 minutes left" (which has been displayed during all that time). Has anyone else had a problem like this? I did not have a lot on the 5X - something like 8 GB; 143 apps. What will happen if I stop copying (should I)? Will I be prompted to later go back and finish? I'm afraid the batteries on both devices are going to die before this is all over.

I just got my bill of $21 for October, and was surprised to see a service credit of $10.00. I couldn't figure out why, because I had not asked for it. It turns out that active users who have service addresses in the counties that have been affected by Hurricane Matthew were given this credit. That includes me! Thanks, Project Fi!

SOLVED.
Wondering if anyone else has had this problem with voice mail. I've been using Fi since November 2015 on a 5X; kept my years old Google Voice number. A couple of days ago, a caller told me that he was getting a recording that my voice mail box was not set up! The calls are coming in, ringing once or maybe twice, and then going to voicemail, where the message is heard about no mail box. I texted support and we went through a few steps, but so far it has not been fixed. They gave me the impression it would be escalated but I have no confirmation and don't know how long this might take.

Yesterday with support, I deleted the phone's cache, deleted the Fi app's cache, restarted the phone and reactivated the app. Support made an incoming call, which came through and rang a long time until it went to voice mail - but it still went to the same message. Today it's gone back to only ringing once, so I don't even have a chance to catch it.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Thanks, Google!
Having Project Fi necessarily means we all have Nexus phones. Check out this offer - tap with Nexus (use Android Pay w/your Nexus device at a terminal) before the end of the year and get a $20 Best Buy e-gift card. I did my part with my Nexus 5X at Panera this morning. Woo hoo! http://www.google.com/nexus/tap/
