Thanks, Google!

Having Project Fi necessarily means we all have Nexus phones. Check out this offer - tap with Nexus (use Android Pay w/your Nexus device at a terminal) before the end of the year and get a $20 Best Buy e-gift card. I did my part with my Nexus 5X at Panera this morning. Woo hoo! http://www.google.com/nexus/tap/

I have two #Gpop #GoogleGlass skins that I can't use because I don't have my Glass any more. Anyone interested in having them? The pattern is called Atlantic, I believe. AFAIK they're not making/selling these any more. They come with a couple of Glass-wearing octopi stickers.

How cool is this?
There are a zillion digital photos in the public domain and scientists have just figured out something very cool to do with them. A team from Google and

This is exactly what I do.
The internet is full of information, but sometimes what you’re looking for needs a different approach. Whether you’re looking for public records, family trees, or really old archives, it’s time to do some offline digging like an old-school journalist. Here’s how to get started.

Ancestry.com and UFOs. There's a combination I didn't think I would ever see.
You wouldn't think that genealogy websites would have much need to defend copyrights, but they're apparently quite zealous -- so long as you're intereste

Annual day after Thanksgiving visit to Fort Clinch. David likes to go because he remembers running around the fort when he was boy. There were no restrictions then and the place was seemingly abandoned at the time. #throughglass

Hey, Engadget focused on genealogy in their Career Spotlight this week!
Researching your family history has become easier than ever thanks to online databases, but it still takes a professional touch to gather the wide variety of documents that detail our pasts and elucidate the elaborate family trees that precede us all.

My mother collected cranberry glass when we lived in Harrogate (Yorkshire, England) in the 1960s. I'm sure some of these pieces are more modern, but much of it is Victorian-era. I inherited my mum's collection and have been wanting the IKEA Detolf cabinet for ages to put it into, and now I've finally accomplished it. I miss my mum.

Story
Tagline
Genealogist, perfectionist, technologist, and potential digamist.
Introduction
I have been doing genealogical research since 2000, when I wanted to know more about my own family history. I began working for clients in 2008, and partnered with a relative in England to help with U.K. military research. My areas of expertise are England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland; I have lived in England and occasionally go back for visits and research. I have helped clients from all over - England, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada - find out about the lives and military service of their ancestors.
Bragging rights
Air Force brat who survived more moves than I can count; live on an island; finished my BA after a 30-year break; have 3 great kids and 1 great lover.
