Day 1 at #AGU13   is over.  Highlights of the day:  Talks on dehydration and subduction zones, Lunch at my adviser's "secret AGU office," hearing Senator Olympia Snowe talk about what has changed and why she thinks the Senate is so ineffective, posters and lots of networking.  Up tomorrow: +Sam Smidt , the early Earth, and BU alumni.
