That article is inflammatory and misleading. It compares apples to oranges when it says
"the rate of serious adverse reactions reported to the VAERS system is 2.5 times higher than the current age-standardized death rate from cervical cancer"
One should compare the number of deaths reported to VAERS to the number of deaths from cancer. When you do that, Gardasil looks awfully darn good; the number of plausible and not obviously-caused-by-existing-condition reports of death in VAERS is... 23. Out of 40 million doses distributed. The number of deaths from cervical cancer during that same time period was about 16,000.
Thus taking Gardasil is about 500 times safer than not taking Gardasil!
