I have this medal. I was able to receive my Dad's medals, 4 in all, but not my Uncles. They said only next of kin. My Uncle never married and had no children, his two brothers were deceased by the time I asked. I felt that I was the next of kin.

The earned right to vote gives citizens the responsibility to vote. I love checking to see if my ancestors were registered.
From the 1880s to 1962, African Americans were not allowed to vote in East Carroll Parish Louisiana. This is the story of that journey to enfranchisement and related documents from the Scott collection.

Fascinating. Do you know name, location or repository for this collection of data?
Case in point. Our family as known for over a hundred years that our grandmother, Eliza Sampson, was from France and that her husband Henry Friedlander, was from somewhere on the continent. They married, had three children and lived in Saint Peter Port on Guernsey off the French coast where ...

Once again, we walk around our home in complete awe. The 5 ceiling fans twirl dust free, the grain of the woodwork in every room is proudly on display, the kitchen countertops sparkle, and the bathroom cleanings (my pet peeve) prove that the Cottage Care professionals understand my needs. But best of all I like the finishing touches - my furniture is vacuumed! The desk in my office (the abysmal mess that it can be) is even dusted - who knew that was a beautiful wooden desk? And they do it without disrupting my "organized" chaos. When my mother passed away unexpectedly, and out of town family was coming in, the Cottage Care Manager, Lindsey, fit in an extra cleaning crew to ready my house at the last minute with one day notice. That's what I call flexible and customer satisfaction. I recommend Cottage Care for all my friends' cleaning needs. Shhh...An extra bonus, they come to your house with a smile! The Brandt's, KCMO
