Pre-jam Contact Improvisation Class

Thursdays February 15-March 8

Co-taught with Matthew Shyka

Obey the law of gravity, and freedom of choice will follow.
Safety guide: direct experience.
Tool kit: universal joint release, center tracking, imagination.

Katarina Eriksson and Matthew Shyka join forces with these contact improvisational ingredients along with their shared interest in exploration of movement and mind.

EchoTheaterSuitcase (ETS) is again bringing the voices of veterans and non-veterans together in collective dialogue, shared learning and deep creative inquiry. This time the ensemble is working in conjunction with an exhibition of Veterans Book Project (VBP), a library co-authored by artist Monica Haller and dozens of people impacted by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Directed by Krista DeNio

7:30PM– EchoTheaterSuitcase performance followed by a reception and panel discussion exploring the creative process and veteran experience

6:00PM– EchoTheaterSuitcase performance, followed by a reception and panel discussion focused on the unique experiences of women veterans
