Help: Find This Dog for This Soldier
[Taken from Dogs on Deployment Facebook page.]

Trying to use my powers for awesome.
TL;DR version: This soldier was deployed for 8 months, and came home to find his dog had been given away or sold without his knowledge. Please help find this dog. Joint Base Lewis-McChord area in Washington state.

---
LAKEWOOD– A Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier was devastated when he returned home from deployment to find his dog was missing — and possibly sold on Craigslist.

Brandon Harker returned last week after an 8-month deployment to Afghanistan. He was excited to see Oakley, his 2-year-old purebred yellow Labrador retriever.

Harker had asked a friend to take care of Oakley while he was deployed. When he contacted the friend to pick him up, he was told the dog had been given away.

He turned to social media to find his dog and was contacted by numerous people who said they’d seen Oakley listed for sale in February on Craigslist. Harker has been calling local veterinarians and shelters, hoping for word on his dog since Oakley is micro-chipped and registered.

“I am just trying to get him back since he was wrongfully given away or sold without my permission while I was deployed,” Harker said.

My fiancé got my engagement ring custom made from Tal, and it's a stunner! Not only is my ring gorgeous, it was a helluva deal. Tal is friendly, knowledgable, and HONEST! How often can you say that about anybody in the diamond business? We're having our wedding bands custom made through Tal, too.

The family that owns Champion Cleaners in Alpharetta runs this shop as well. They are very friendly, honest, and always do great work. When I moved to Cummings, I was happy to discover they have another location near me. I would've driven the distance to my favorite dry cleaners since a good one is so difficult to find, but I'm glad I can save the money in gas instead.

My husband and I love this place! We're a couple of wine aficionados so we're always looking for something new to try. The Vineyard Wine Market is great because they often rotate out their inventory with bottles from lesser known and interesting wineries. You won't find the normal grocery store/package store labels here. And their wine club is the perfect place to taste and learn about these wines. Often times than not, there is a sommelier or a rep from the actual vineyard at the tasting to explain what you are drinking. You can't get that kind of experience and education elsewhere in metro Atlanta. And as for the owner of this place, Anthony is awesome! He knows us by name, as well as all his wine club members. You don't see that kind of personalized service these days. If his outgoing and gregarious nature offends some people, it's their loss.
