OmniTouch - Demo Video - ACM UIST 2011
the member of the Natural Interaction Research Group of Microsoft Research, is the developer of „OmniTouch“.
The prototype of "OmniTouch" consists of a portable "OmniTouch" depth sensor camera and a projector.
This allows the user to project an image not only on any surface but influence with the fingers and control certain functions. Whether wall, palm, forearm, table or notepad: With "OmniTouch" any surface within the environment gets a touchscreen.
So far, the system that is mounted on the shoulder and worn, is a little too unwieldy for everyday use. But researchers of the Natural Interaction Research Group of Microsoft will be working hard to develop future versions of the prototype small and portable, so that they are about the size of a matchbox.
