When being absent from posting on my social feeds means progress in the art department, I take it. In no particular order, photos of all the art stuff I've been doing since moving to Campbell CA. I'm working hard on setting up my private print shop in the garage and will post the progress of that in another post in the near future. Be ready for a semi large photo dump, starting right now 😅

Sorry for the radio silence the past weeks. Thanks for all the birthday messages, I've read them all and feel very fortunate to have so many people thinking of me as I turn another year older but none the wiser ;P It's been a wild ride but today we finally closed escrow and got our new house keys at long last. Needless to say there will be more radio silence on my streams because we're still in need of moving things from the apartment as well as setting up utilities and whatnots. In the mean time you all just have to do with these two photos of the new home. One is the front of our home, the second is the interior view from the open room concept living/diningroom into the kitchen with window view towards the Los Gatos trail and highway 17 a little beyond that. Also cat tax pic of Skittles playing fort defender with the boxes.

A day late because I was pretty busy with life. I did an underpainting sketch for a new canvas. It's going to be quite rough since this is a reclaimed canvas from a studio member who switched from using oil paintings on linen to acrylics on wood canvas. Still working on the underpainting at this point. I say this counts as a sunday morning sketch because it's a preliminary sketch for the full color deal. Don't mind the absolute clutter that's around me, I'm actually painting in my apartment.

Oil painting palettes, tiny canvases, soapstone sea otter shenanigans and an obligatory phat cat face tax photo.

In other news, I've been absent being social online on purpose because of real life handing me lemons already. Busy making lemon square pies out of those suckers. House is getting delayed again, this time they're talking about March. Maybe I will take this opportunity to do some swedish death cleaning so I can make space for all the new and old stone sculptures in the new house. Wishful thinking much? Who knows, maybe I will succeed. Fingers crossed!

Well, that Mipha sketch turned into more painting practice this early in the Sunday morning. I've put the sketch next to the painted version so it kind of counts for a Sunday Morning Sketch entry. Next post, loads of snapshots of oil painting progress B:

Just three weeks late on my sunday morning sketch routine resolution, but here's something I've been plodding away on in photoshop since new years. It'll become an oil painting so it probably will end up looking really different once I get to the manual traditional painting part. Selaras (new OC from Pathfinder campaign) meeting Ayden. Next post will be a sketch, because I'm really smitten over Mipha from Breath of the Wild. Yeeep, yep. :v

2007 vs 2017. Practicing still. My boys (Curaii and Ayden) are all grown up and brattier than before it seems. Last sketch project thing I will be making this year. Here's to more practice in several art fields in the near future :> I'll try and resume my Sunday Morning Sketching routine as my new years resolution for 2018.

At Musee Mecanique in San Francisco, we paid the 2 dollars in coins to play the big boss Wurlitzer. It was worth all the quarters it took :D
