You kind of can't go wrong starting something, anything, with Brittney Le Blanc, and the blog roundup just flows into all kind of goodness from there: http://seenandheardyeg.com/2016/02/09/edmonton-blog-roundup-feb-9-2016/
A lot of people don't like February, but it's my favourite month. Let us begin with embracing winter and embracing challenges.

This week's Edmonton blog roundup has a lot of posts about the Postmedia cuts, of course, but also more pleasant things, like theatre, music, winter fun, food and the like, plus some excellent advice: http://seenandheardyeg.com/2016/01/26/edmonton-blog-roundup-jan-26-2016/
You'll find solid advice, sad media news, winter, culture, food, history and more in this week's roundup.

Here we go with another podcast roundup from Seen and Heard in Edmonton. Many old favourites here, but also some worthy new-to-me or new-to-the-world entries: http://seenandheardyeg.com/2016/01/27/edmonton-podcast-roundup-jan-27-2016/
I'm going to kick off with some first-time listens, and then swing into some old favourites. Every time I think I've found all of the locally made podcasts, I find half a dozen more. So much creati...

Here's the Seen and Heard in Edmonton podcast featuring TJ Jans and Salena Kitteringham, the team behind Curious Arts, a blog about the work done in the University of Alberta's Faculty of Fine Arts. If you're a communications pro, you might be particularly interested in hearing how they got a project off the ground before it was perfectly polished: http://seenandheardyeg.com/2016/01/25/episode-26-tj-jans-and-salena-kitteringham/

Introduction
I shine a light on the great work done by local bloggers and podcasters. I'm looking for ways to connect their audiences with great local businesses. Before founding my own media company, I worked for major daily newspapers, including 14 years at the Edmonton Journal, and another three-year stint running an innovation project. In addition to consulting, I teach in the journalism program at MacEwan University.
