The New Year's Eve parties are over, the last of the New Year's Day football has been watched, the black-eyed peas (if you're southern, like I am) have been eaten, and the holiday guests have gone home. It's January 2, 2017, and a new year stretches out…

This is a live recording of a song I did awhile back. It's one of my very favorite songs.  Worship leader Andy Hutchison is on keyboards and background vocals. Thank you to John Scott, Jr. for adding some of my photos and mixing the sound for me, so I could post it. So excited now to share this with you, my friends and family, in a time when we need the Lord's rain of mercy, grace, wisdom and love more than ever!

Playing with my new Nexus 6p. Here are a few sample photos, none of them edited in any way. I'm pretty pleased! The sunrise was shot through my windshield on my morning commute, so the focus is probably a bit off, but the colors are stunning.  The camera seems to be calibrated to the warm side, as expected. I will probably have to do corrections for that when I take indoor photos.

So my brother-in-law and nephew came by today and we had a little jam session. This is how most family gatherings go at my house. My main instrument is piano, but I'm relearning guitar after about 30 years of not playing it and only a year or so of lessons in the first place. My husband recorded this on a cell phone, so there is A LOT of distortion, but I thought I'd share it anyway because we had so much fun.
