Why I love the new Moms With Apps website - if you're a parent or teacher don't miss this. It's web design at its best - nice, clean simple and showcases trustworthy ad-free apps.  #kidsapps
I’ve learned a lot about children’s apps in the 12 months since I launched Ferdinand Fox’s Big Sleep – not least just how difficult it is to make kids' apps findable in that vast and swelling ocean...

I was surprised and flattered to be contacted by Publishers Weekly for inclusion on this piece they were doing on the challenges of #selfpublishing #childrensbooks http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/authors/pw-select/article/63124-telling-stories-to-children.html
The process of creating and marketing a children’s book is very different from that for a piece of fiction or nonfiction meant for adults. Here is some advice for getting it right.

Just had a great event at Waterstones in Putney and a lovely tweet from a parent whose son has already read Henry Haynes & the Great Escape & loved it :) Here's more info if you have 6-8 yr-olds...

Tips to improve chances of discovery in the iBooks Store - a rather big blog post for #indieauthors http://kareninglis.wordpress.com/2014/06/30/apple-ibooks-marketing-and-discovery-tips/

Here's a great 60-second voice story on the dilemma facing children's book app authors with all of the free #kidsapps marketed each week. I'd be interested to hear what others (parents/authors/app developers) think about the free versus paid debate?
A story told by Chris Pedersen with Voice.

Writer of children's fiction. Copywriter and web content consultant through my company, Well Said Ltd.
Introduction
I've worked as a copywriter and web content consultant for almost 20 years, latterly on major UK government projects. My website at www.wellsaid.co.uk says it all!

I also write children's fiction. I self-published The Secret Lake in September 2011 and my second book Eeek! (about a soccer-mad runaway alien...) in March 2012.  You'll find my books on most major online store websites including Amazon,  B&N and Waterstones... both have been very well received :)

Digital publishing and social networking have opened up a whole new world of opportunities for authors to get their work out to the wider world and I'm really excited to be taking part in that change!
