Do you know how much protein your body needs? If you are not getting enough you can have fatigue, body aches, and food cravings. A good protein source will deliver the essential amino acids you need for energy, a healthy immune system, and muscle repair.
With liver cirrhosis caused by Hepatitis C, I have to balance between animal protein and vegetable sources. With plant protein like whey or chick pea in my shake for breakfast I can get a healthy start to my day. I still like a good steak or cheeseburger, but I avoid eating too much. It can cause brain fog, lethargy, and Hepatic Encephalopathy.
Ain't nobody got time for that.

Love watches over us while we sleep. Venus, also called the morning star, shines brightly all through the February night. I took my coffee cup outside and greeted her. 


Life can be hard. Living with an illness can add to the grief. Some days it would be easier to dive back under the blankets. Strong emotions give way to crying. It is like a cleansing. Then I step outside, look up at the sky and am reminded that Love is still there. The Hepatitis C is gone through treatment. The Stage 4 or End Stage Cirrhosis may change my life expectancy. But I am hugging life today. Thank you to Anthony Luke for the lovely morning star image.

Having End Stage cirrhosis or any other disease does not always have to mean the end of your life. Saying those words to you is the whole purpose of my blog. At one time, liver fibrosis reversal was not considered possible. At one time they thought the earth was flat.
