#WebTeamDragon Wednesday! - Motivation

The Web Team Dragon and I need to talk about what makes a “good” motivational poster. He and I have different ideas … :-) (On a side note, the Coyote and Roadrunner picture that the WTD finds so motivating was drawn –freehand– by my coworker’s seriously…

Web Team Dragon Wednesday! - The Dark Side

Oh boy. It looks like Darth Thermos managed to sneak his way into my office this morning to meet the legend known as the Web Team Dragon. On the upside, WTD convinced Darth Thermos to join the Bandana Army and work to End Distracted Driving. On the…

Web Team Dragon Wednesday! - Winter Mornings

The Web Team Dragon is unimpressed with the cold mornings here in Florida. He woke up to it being 26 degrees yesterday. And in his own, special way “requested” that I make him tea when I got to my office.

Standing Desk, I love you. And you should love one too! :-)

The standing desk has become my new best friend at work. I was doing some light reading on the Cornell University website (ok, it’s not all that light, but I was curious about the pros/cons of standing vs. sitting at work), and it turns out, whether…
Research shows that whether you're in good shape or not, sitting for long periods of time can hurt you. So now I have a standing desk at work! I wholeheartedly recommend one.

"Creamy" Leek and Vegetable Soup #Recipe

You get super sick of hospital food, super fast. And just because it’s cooked in a hospital, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s “good” for you. Out of desperation for a decent lunch, my “creamy” leek and vegetable soup was born! One of those days between my…

Web Team Dragon Wednesday! - Bowling (because even dragons need a hobby).

Last year, Wednesdays (when I remembered) were “Wordless Wednesdays.” This year, I think they’ll be “Web Team Dragon Wednesdays!” He’s definitely cool with that. :-)

Blind Dates with the Grim Reaper & #Goals for 2016

My mother had a heart attack on December 8th. It was massive, unexpected and, though I can pull off stoic so well Steven Seagal wants pointers, frightening. This has always been the kind of thing that happened to other people. My heart always broke for…
I want to LIVE life; not just survive it until the Grim Reaper shows up with his rickety rowboat and shiny scythe. So here are my goals for 2016.
