Tree Down! It has come to my attention that we have lost another iconic Moreton Bay tree. The tree (seen here in the image -on the right) is no longer. Its somewhat hard to believe that this beauty has been taken by the elements as its such a large &…

It has come to my attention that the very popular Mangrove tree (located on the sand in the right corner) at Wellington Point has been damaged -and since removed. I’m calling on local photographers to send in their favourite images of this tree with the…

As with previous years, 2014 started with a New Years day dawn shoot. I’ve photographed the first dawn of the year for the last five connective years -with only one washout during that time. Below is a walk-through (month by month) of the images I’ve…

New Blog Post - The Making Of: “Maleny Fire”

Maley Fire was an image that just kind of happened. I had seen images of this tree many times previously -mostly taken by wedding photographers, I had a fair idea where this vista was located (based on the view overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains), so…

[ Dove Lake Boat Shed ]
After days of rain and generally poor photography conditions, this mornings sunrise at Cradle Mountain was worth waiting for. Moments earlier we had been snowed on, so having patience and braving the cold air really did pay off.  #tasmaniatourism   #tasmania   #landscapephotography

[ Golden ]
Long shadows and soft afternoon light create drama in the New South Wales countryside. Days of heavy winds caused the leaves of the Poplar trees to fall early, converging the driveway in gold.

"Ghost Tree" is a new release print.
Captured on the 3rd of May this year while on my way to Uralla, New South Wales. I like to think I've captured a snow storm approaching, because the very next day snow fell in this area (well a little higher up on the range). This truly was a one shot. It took me 5/10 minutes to get over the first fence and set up for this image. I shot one frame just before the sun disappeared behind a cloud.
