We've been putting most of our effort into stopping online spying lately, but it's just one of a handful of threats to the Internet on the horizon. Another is what we're calling the "Internet Lockdown": initiatives that put individual citizens' rights last, such as Bill C-11, ACTA, TPP, and the now-defunct SOPA bill.

As we continue to battle the online spying bill (C-30), committee hearings are taking place for the Copyright Modernization Act (C-11).

There's a lot to handle, but we need to stay strong on all fronts. Today, we suggest checking out this Q & A on C-11, signing the petition at http://InternetLockdown.ca/, and spreading the word.

Why does Google+ show private messages I've authored in my stream?

I just went to someone's profile, clicked 'Send a message' under their profile pic, and sent what is a private message. But I now see the full contents of this message in my Stream. It's there when I load up the G+ homepage, and when I look at my profile.

A private message being sent to a single person should not be visible under my profile or in my Stream. It should be tucked away in a 'Messages' section where it's hidden from people looking over my shoulder as I browse G+.

I agree that it would make more sense if posts visible to exactly 2 people had a special border or indicator or something that says "don't have a heart attack"

I see Jeremy for deep tissue treatments to help with neck, shoulder, and back pain from sitting at a computer most of the day. He's personable and professional, and his massages really help with my neck/shoulder/back pain. I'd strongly recommend seeing Jeremy if you're looking for a deep tissue massage.
