K&S Heating and Air Conditioning opened in October of 1988 with just 8 employees. Thanks to much hard work and the support of the Rochester community, K&S has grown to employ 60 plus people. In the early days we seldom left the Rochester city limits, but now our sales and service personnel travel into northern Iowa, western Wisconsin, the southern Twin Cities, and most of south central and southeast Minnesota.

Our product mix has grown as well. Traditional furnace and air conditioning home comfort products from Lennox and Carrier is how we built the business, but now we feature geothermal, solar, heat pumps, dual fuel, in floor heat, and hybrid heat products as well. In addition, K&S offers indoor air quality testing and products, humidification and de-humidification equipment, whole home air filtration, duct cleaning, as well as radon testing and mitigation.

Our plumbing department offers traditional and tankless water heaters, water softeners, boilers, water pressure boosters, sump pumps and sump pump back up systems, replacement bathroom and kitchen fixtures, water quality testing and water leak protection.

We round out our services with our electrical department. Having our own electricians allows us to offer a one day installation for most of our home comfort products. In addition, we provide whole home generators, lighting of all types, replacement fixtures, service upgrades, and most other electrical services.

We are proud to say, "one call does it all" when it comes to your home's heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical needs. You will enjoy professional and knowledgeable people who strive to deliver 100% customer satisfaction every time we are invited into your home or business.

The bottom of my water heater rusted out and had sprung a leak. I called K&S Heating and Air and they were able to get somebody out to my house with a brand new water heater and install it in a few hours. This was some of the greatest service start to finish that I have ever had. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone that asked.

Awful experience with this company...Two times they didn't show up when they said they were going to, then forgot to order a part, and when I called to raise a concern with the manager, they never called me back. When I finally reached someone and explained the situation, they were not interested at all..When I said I would just like to cancel, they simply said "Ok its done bye" Terrible service and customer service.

The staff at K&S did an excellent job of processing our bad parts with Carrier for warranty support and then installing them to get our A/C back on line. I had no issues and everyone was professional and quick to answer questions and address issues.

K&S is a company above all others. When our carbon monoxide detectors started going off in the middle of the night in February the gas company came out and shut down our furnace and told us we needed to replace it. We called K&S just after 6:30 that morning and spoke with a salesman about what our equipment options were. By 7:30 that same morning K&S had a crew at our house installing our new furnace. The workers were very good at their job. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and answered all our questions about our new furnace. Since then we have used K&S for our plumbing and electrical needs and have gotten the same exceptional service. We will continue to use K&S and recommend them to all our friends and family. Jeff

Terrible customer service and communication with customers. After initial visit, K & S failed to inform us that they were ordering a part. Several days passed and no contact from them. When we inquired about what was going on, they stated that the part still hadn't arrived a week later. No one bothered to keep us informed or updated. They did not show up when they said they would and were very difficult to get a hold of. Left a message for the manager with my concerns and never received a call back. Talked to customer service about canceling my service and they replied with "ok, it's done." No effort to keep us as customers, no apologies or explanation given as to why things were taking so long. Definitely do not recommend this company.

K&S installed a water softner for me a couple of weeks ago and the installer noticed the main water valve was leaking and said I needed it fixed on the next visit. I needed several other plumbing things fixed so he wrote it all down and said the bid person would call me. After not hearing from them I called their office and spoke to an extremely rude woman who said they had been too busy and she would have the guy call back. Here it is--over 2 weeks later and no phone call back. Don't expect a phone call back---similar to many trade/contracting companies.

Called at 11pm because our furnace had stopped working and someone was out right away and fixed it quickly. The service charge was $135 but I knew that going in and frankly it was worth it.

We were having trouble with our furnace a few weeks ago. We called K&S to come out and fix it. The person who answered the phone told us the service man would be out to our house in the next few hours. Well six hours later, we had to call them again. The service man finally showed up later that day and told us we would need a new furnace and could have a sales person come over and give us a bid. We took the bid from the sales person (who happen to be 50 minutes late for the appointment). We didn’t feel comfortable with the sales person so we got a few other bids. Come to find out the K & S bid was a lot higher than any other bid we got. To say the least we did not go with K $ S and will not be using them for any of our service work from now on.
