Lumenさん, thank you for your question. There are a few verbs that end in -eる/-iる that do not belong to group 2. 入る is one of them. I explain this in my video Learn Japanese Verb Groups, and you can also find a more complete list of “group 1 verbs that look like group 2 verbs” on my website. Hope this helps! ^^
