Some good genes in that family, I suppose. They seem to have delivered some fine action potential to their neurons, anyhow.
Who were both related to Thomas Henry Huxley (anatomist and Darwin's champion) and Julian Huxley (evolutionary biologist).
The Hodgkin and Huxley experiments are a beautiful example of how elegant the scientific process can be. It is a shame that, for the most part, only neuroscientists learn about them.
