I posted just the +ESPN OTL video earlier; here's the video + complete story.

Being a former Marine and  special forces operator, this story has always hit close to home. A story which was captured well by Jon Krakauer in the book Where Men Win Glory.
In his first public statements about the death of former NFL safety Pat Tillman, one of the Army Rangers involved in the 2004 friendly fire incident in Afghanistan says he has lived for 10 years with the thought that he may have fired the fatal shots.

10 years ago this week, Pat Tillman lost his life. His platoon mates recall that tragic day and mistake someone made.

The Average College Football Player is Worth …

According to a report from Drexel University and the National College Players Association, the average college football player is worth $178,000, while the average basketball player is worth $375,000.
With the attempt to unionize football players at Northwestern University, and antitrust lawsuits being fought against the governing board of college athletic...

Powerful piece. I crossed paths with him a few weeks ago at Shadow Creek for the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational. He looked good, looked strong and played well. I know +Dustin Ares has crossed paths with him too - it's a great story.

Stu is kicking cancers ass. Literally.
Stuart Scott is an ESPN original and the man GQ Magazine once said put the hip-hop in sportscasting. When the “Sportscenter” anchor is not at ESPN’s studios, he can be found once or twice a month practicing mixed-martial arts wearing sunglasses, for a very specific...

If you are also a Detroit native and/or love the movie 8 Mile like I do, drop everything for the next 15 minutes and read this.

Great stuff.

"He made no effort to conceal his identity or whereabouts. Anderson paid taxes and traffic tickets, renewed his driver's license and registered his businesses."

It honestly may have done him more good to not go to jail.

I'm all about making sure that the bad guys go behind bars; it would have been completely different if he had continued on the path he was on. He didn't.
ST. LOUIS (AP) — After he was convicted of armed robbery in 2000, Cornealious Anderson was sentenced to 13 years behind bars and told to await instructions on when and where to report to prison. But those instructions never came.

Its unique alright +Erick Smith. I'd be fine with time served and some years of probation.

He's done everything we as a society would hope/expect. Incarcerating him now... what purpose would it serve.

Cyclones Celebrate Seinfeld

In perhaps the greatest promotion ever, the Brooklyn Cyclones will host Seinfeld Night on July 5 to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. And they are going all out. Cyclones players will wear puffy shirts during batting practice, MCU Park will rename itself Vandelay Industries Park and the first 2,500 fans will receive a Keith Hernandez “Magic Loogie” bobblehead.
One of the greatest collisions of baseball and pop culture occurred when Keith Hernandez appeared on Seinfeld in 1992. The former Mets first baseman was a guest-star on a one-hour episode titled "The Boyfriend," in which Jerry meets Hernandez and the two strike up a friendship (fueled by Seinfeld's man-crush). To commemorate the 25th anniversary…
