Anyone else here solving/paying attention to the CAH Kwanzaa puzzle event put on by LoanShark Games?  (note -- NSFW link.  General bad taste, but quite funny).

I've gotten somewhat caught up via Reddit, but I wouldn't mind collaborating with folks with a little more experience...
250000 people signed up for ten mystery gifts in December. Read the FAQ. We've hidden a really hard puzzle in this year's gifts. There's an enormous prize for the person or group who helps solve it. Day 1. A Card With Your Name On It. For Day One, we sent 250000 people a card with their name on ...

My brother and I will be participating in a local puzzle-ish event in Vancouver, BC, later this summer. We could use some help from someone with knowledge of the city.  Anyone out there know Vancouver, or know someone in Vancouver who could help?  Thanks!

I'm looking for some high quality mechanical puzzles to buy as creative catalysts for my office.  I know nothing about mechanical puzzles, but I know there are a number of people in this group who collect them.  Can someone direct me to a good source, and maybe recommend a few?  Thank you.

I have his contact info if you want to get in touch.

Cool worldwide ARG.  Perhaps it's a Shinteki recruitment drive?
For the past two years, a mysterious online organisation has been setting the world's finest code-breakers a series of seemingly unsolveable problems. But to what end? Welcome to the world of Cicada 3301

I saw some press about that, and I was thinking of any posting. ARGs are normally not my boat, but I wouldn't mind hearing stories if any local puzzlers are involved...

I'm looking for someone to transfer my wife's web site from GoDaddy to a different hosting provider.  Does anyone know of someone I can hire to do it?  Thanks.

Good news: my availability to play in DASH 6 has just unexpectedly opened up.
Bad news: I don't have a team.

Does anyone have room on their team in SF or Cupertino?  I am house-trained and only bite if provoked.

I'm very excited to do the Ghost Patrol online event, but Halloween evening is not good timing for those of us with kids, work, etc. Are there others out there that might want to jointly schedule a "private party" recast on another night?

I may have 2 extra tickets for this Saturday's 8p seating of the Real Escape game (Escape from the Bank) in San Francisco.  Ping me if interested.
Escape from the Bank. Steal the Confidential Document! You, an illustrious band of thieves, crept into the bank. Everything went fine. You broke through the sophisticated security system. Finally, you reached the bank vault where the top-secret document was hidden. As you were about to open the ...

it's fun.  don't have high expectations, but the puzzles are generally pretty solid.  the time pressure and the mayhem going on from all the teams working in the same room makes it a different kind of experience.

Do any of my Googler friends out there have a connection to the Google Groups team? A group I'm managing has a major bug (forced file size limits of 0.1 MB on attachments) that we can't seem to get fixed....

It's a group I set up over a year ago. Might have been two years. It would be a pain to set it up again from scratch, but I might have to. Sigh.

Is Google abandoning Groups? It seems like it has gotten buried among other Google applications, and this particular glitch suggests it isn't getting much attention these days.
