Would You Save A Man's Life?
In a world where hundreds of thousands of dollars can be crowd sourced for potato salad
a single man can't seem to raise enough to save his own life. Literally.
We live in a world where the difference between life and death depends on whether your insurance will cover you. My friend Paul has a brain tumor and the insurance cut him off before he could complete treatments. To make matters worse, he lost his job as well as the little insurance he did have. Despite having to cover the remainder out of pocket, he has gone back for treatments...In his own words:
"Tomorrow, April 18, 2015, I am going to be admitted into Orange Regional Medical Center for multiple procedures. I will be in there for at least one month. Two days ago, among other things, I lost my job which includes my medical insurance. This is something that needs to be done regardless of insurance coverage. Please help with what is going to be an impossible to pay hospital bill. Thank you in advance for your much needed help and God bless."
What a world we live in when people have to crowd fund their right to stay alive...
So the question remains: Would you
save a man's life? If the world can raise money for a crowd funded potato salad, is it so hard to believe a human life is more deserving? We, the people of the world, can be that miracle.
Every bit helps. Spread the word to the far corners of the Earth.#paulorpotato#help #charity #cancer
