Have any questions about Windows 10? Well, we have a 10,000 word Windows 10 Review for you to check out!
Windows 8.1 and everything before it is dead. Long live Windows 10. This chant is what Microsoft is indirectly telling the public with its first major OS overhaul since 2012's Windows 8. Moreover, let's be clear for die-hard Windows fans the last few years have been nothing but a battle. The general public has all but ignored Microsoft's tiled new world and slumping PC sales reflect...

Spent about an hour capturing video of the storm that quickly rolled through Reno. Here is a quick picture of my view from my apartment and one of the shots I used for a video I am making right now for my new YouTube channel.

If you're using Android, you should also be using this Smart Lock
There are times that we want our phone to be locked and times when we want to bypass our phone's security measures With the introduction of the Smart Lock options in Android Lollipop, we have been given the choice of four easy to use security tools to help keep our devices both secured from intruders but also easy to unlock when a security check has been made. The easiest Smart Lock to...

It’s summertime, so millions of Americans are packing up the car and hitting the road—and so are we! We’ve chosen Austin, Texas, as a new testing location for our project, and one of our Lexus SUVs is there now, with safety drivers aboard, driving a few square miles north and northeast of downtown Austin. It’s important for us to get experience testing our software in different driving environments, traffic patterns and road conditions—so we’re ready to take on Austin’s pedicabs, pickup trucks, and everything in between. Keep it weird for us, Austin, and visit our website to let us know how we’re driving.

In before all of the "Android isn't secure" posts that'll be making their rounds this morning
There's a scary-sounding story going around this morning about the "worst Android vulnerability in the mobile OS history!" (Exclamation point theirs, not ours.) The gist is that malware could be embedded in a video, which theoretically could be exploited without you doing a single thing. And, oh, just about every Android phone is vulnerable. So should you worry? Let's discuss. What...

Why you need comments
I swear The Verge turned off comments because they were tired of getting yelled at for screwing up posts like this.

http://www.theverge.com/2015/7/22/9013455/sony-android-concept-xperia-z3-software-preview

"The goal, says Sony, is to develop new software "from the ground up," meaning no Google Play Services or superfluous apps, just the core Google communications software and Sony's stack of custom apps like Camera, Music, and Xperia Lounge."

The second half of this sentence contradicts the first. You can't have Google apps without Google Play Services—they wouldn't work. Also releasing Android without Google Play Services would be in violation of the "anti-fragmentation clause" in their MADA contract and Google would pull their Google Play license.

They don't even link to the actual Sony blog post so people can get the correct information. (it's here: http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2015/07/22/launching-sonys-concept-for-android-initiative-in-sweden/ )

IF The Verge had comments turned on, this post would be getting ripped to shreds. Now they can misinform people in peace.

I hope this isn't the One Plus Two because that camera placement is incredibly ugly...
The OnePlus 2 is the latest device to go through China's TENAA certification, giving us a look at the possible design of the handset. The phone will come with a fingerprint scanner, with the images from TENAA highlighting a physical home button. The photos show that the camera sensor is now located further down at the back, with the phone possibly getting laser autofocus like the LG G4...

Here is a little video I prepared that shows how Android Wear burn-in protection works. In the time-lapse, you can see the watch face is automatically moved by the system a few pixels every minute: https://youtu.be/EPrAHrUh85A

When designing watch faces, it is very important that in ambient mode, you try to keep 95% of the pixels black, and that you do not have large solid regions illuminated. Solid shapes should be replaced with outlines, and on analog watches, hollow out the center where the hands meet. You can find more information about how to do this in the documentation here https://developer.android.com/design/wear/watchfaces.html

Sony normally has fantastic hardware but unfortunetly their software game is extremely weak
Plus or Minus: Sony's high-end handset for 2015 is part spectacular flagship, part disappointing compromise. The quick take The latest Sony flagship is a decent phone set back by hardware wonk and some wrongheaded design decisions. While the core experience is good, the Xperia Z3+ loses points for thermal issues, particularly when using the camera, and battery life that's outpaced...
