This was only a matter of time. The core concept and ideology behind what it means to be a constable (or Peace Officer) for the people, is gone. It has been gone for quite some time, and although I cannot quite pin-point exactly when our constables ethics, morality, and humanity became twisted, I have both seen and witnessed biased, preconceived, bigoted, hostile, intolerant, and partisan behavior on the side of our beloved Peace Officers. Now, this is not to say that there are not good officers out there. There “are,” and I have met them as well. However, when regarding each department, there is like this inner-fraternity of young 20 something’s to 40-year-old officers who choose to conduct themselves in a discordant manner. They are like the ass-holes of the bunch, and although the majority of these officers conduct themselves as if that badge symbolizes oppression and authoritarian behavior (without merit or cause) while also shielding them from any potential prosecution, they don’t always work together either. In a large enough department, they separate themselves into groups, units, or gangs. We have all seen rings busted that encompass (at least) 4 to 6 core members, and I cannot fathom that people believe that these incidents’ are isolated.

My father was an officer of the law, a Sergeant even, and he retired after 22 years of active duty. He never could leave his work at work, and always seemed to bring it home with him. In either case, I cannot even remember the amount of ride-alongs that I have been on, because I have been on so many. However, these days (as well as back then) there is hardly any crime. Moreover, when and/or if there is crime, it is generally isolated, rather than many of the recent homicides consummated on behalf of a peace officer; whether that act was justified or not. In either case, there are good officers; however, they do not generally encompass the whole, and the only thing that can ultimately defeat any unit, group, or entity, are sheer numbers.

Finally, granting police officers this sort of jurisdiction is absolutely maddening, however, I believe that this type of authority will become worse prior to it becoming better.

Throughout my entire life there has always been a single characteristic (or trait) that appears to be deeply ingrained and distinct amongst the majority of the conservative party, which is that they appear to (on a gratuitous level) try and rewrite history through self-delusion, empty rhetoric, including self-induced amnesia. I have witnessed conservative housewives, mothers, and fathers attempt to dispel their own history, so that they can (in their minds) appear more righteous or moral towards their family, friends, including strangers, as if sweeping history under a rug (let alone their own history) while simultaneously fabricating an alternative history has ever solved anything. Furthermore, I have also witnessed many conservative war veterans, politicians, and party members (in general) try to run from their own earnest history, denying any and all potential wrongdoing, while also attempting to persuade others in believing some sort of embellished and (sometimes) outrageous story. All and all, I believe that this is simply a symptom of not being capable of resolving and/or coping with their own personal issues, actions, or responsibilities, and I believe that (in their minds) it is just easier to fabricate some sort of alternative hero centric story, than face reality in an honest and open fashion.

Sure, sure, I will give you the argument that a-hole’s like this (who hire hackers) to crack into systems and steal information, give hackers (or the hacking community) a bad name. However, the largest entity who initially propagated the negative stigma towards hacking, hackers, hacktivists, including I.T. enthusiasts (who utilize hacking as a means of furthering their understanding in I.T.) was (and still is) the News media. The term “hacker” initially originated out of M.I.T.’s Tech Model Railroad Club and their Artificial Intelligence Laboratory around the 1960s. Furthermore, I believe that it is important to note that it was from these groups in which the free software (or open-source) movement began, claiming that all information (especially information concerning Information Technology) should be free to the masses, to encourage and further education through experimentation, allowing third-party individuals (or groups) to contribute (openly and freely) towards ongoing projects, while encouraging these individuals to develop and implement highly efficient and elegant solutions or "hacks" towards various problems.

Although, the term and phrase “cracking” and “black hat hackers” should be commonly used throughout the News media (including society in general) to differentiate between those who are on the side of good versus those who utilize computer technology with malicious intent, I do not see that happening anytime soon. In either case, the core of the problem boils down to this. Why (after roughly 50 years from which the term “hack” or “hacking” was initially propagated), do we use the same term to characterize (or portray) those who utilize their knowledge (in computer technology) for the betterment of humanity versus those who utilize similar knowledge for destructive purposes?

Yes, I too honestly believe that she provided an elegant answer to this problem, and yet I am still not surprised that a large portion of our culture’s geriatric community currently believes that the answer to this continued swell of violence in Islam is continued force, violence, or war. We need another tactic, and something a lot less aggressive. Jesus man, we need to finally learn (or figure out) how to win wars without violence. I do not believe that it is too much to ask that at our current stage of evolution we begin to develop a method of coping with these conflicts, in a none violent manner, while later investing that time in something that is more meaningful to humanity than this.

Yeah, I earnestly don’t take anything that comes out of Andrea Tantaros’ mouth seriously, while finding it difficult to believe that anyone else (with a triple digit I.Q. or higher) does either. In either case, it is nice to have facts over empty rhetoric. Then again, we are talking about Fox News here, a media outlet infamously known for spreading propaganda, fear, including an overabundance of misinformation. Their only goal (in my opinion) is to whip the most ignorant individuals in our country into a frothing, blood-hungry frenzy, while perpetuating that old sour puss jaded bitterness that resides throughout many elderly individuals, who hold strong prejudice(s) and bias(es) for those who are different than them.

The conservative mental box model was not built to withstand time, change, nor tolerance for those who are dissimilar than oneself, and should (through a long enough time span) collapse under its own narrow ideology.

I am in the exact same boat with Cenk on this topic, regarding whether people of a certain religion (or ethnicity) should protest in situations as these. However, I also believe that what these people did was very honorable, and I can only hope that people continue to open their minds towards those who share either an opposing religion, or no religion at all. All of this around us, is so new, and we (as a species) still have plenty of room to mature, and god knows (idiom) if we do not destroy each other first, we could potentially mature indefinitely. However, that would require us to all work together, while being open minded, tolerant, understanding, educated, and trustworthy.

Although there was no notice, remark, or official announcement, there appears to be a race amongst many of the popular conservatives (inside our country) to become a poster child for bigotry, and Rudy Guiliani is most definitely up there. Naturally, they spread this abhorrent propaganda via media, hate-filled rhetoric, including their generally biased outlook on life. If you ask me personally, it is disgusting. I mean, how the hell did one of the most open, free, and culturally diverse countries (in the world) become so xenophobic throughout the last couple centuries?

With the way society currently is in America, nobody (outside of the individual being persecuted) cares whether any other individual receives a fair, just, and/or honest trial. In other words, unless you are privileged (wealthy) in this country, you are guilty until proven innocent upon the very second you walk into a courtroom. Empathy is one of those emotions that does not appear to exist throughout most of modern America (let alone in our courtrooms), mainly because people appear to display a general attitude that demonstrates that as long as their a$$ is not on the line, everyone else might as well be presumed to be guilty. It is honestly a sad, calloused, and undeveloped state of affairs here in the states, and I (unfortunately) do see it getting any better.

Wow, just when I thought that this issue could not develop into something more ridiculous than it already was, it does. Jesus man, I just cannot understand how certain men are (apparently) incapable of controlling themselves around women, who (to the men) are attractive. By god, it is as if they are animals with no self-control. Regardless, it is nice to know that this oppressive bill has been floored due to its ridiculous nature.
