Always drinking coffee for energy to draw,
'Cause having a big fam'ly leaves no energy at all.
So I brew my Café Bustelo for caffeinated wings,
And fly away with my Moleskine to draw important things!

Illustration for Dwellings band CD cover. It's my favorite piece I've ever done, and with that I'm retiring from digital color... Going forward it's all about Moleskine and Watercolor. Back to the basics.

I expect color & value to bring some sense to this line work. Drawn with my Pilot Falcon SEF and Platinum 3776 Century UEF.

First drawing with my new Platinum 3776 Century UEF fountain pen. It's a great pen for line art, a definite keeper. Ready for color!

My wife home schools our 3 boys. (Secular.) This will be 13x19 on the wall. Each boy has a marker and moves closer to rewards up top or toward the plank and into the monster's mouth depending on behavior.

Silly little people sitting happy on the edge,
With no one being careful - one's bound to fall off the ledge.
I'll hedge my bets and say the first to fall is red-hat Jim,
And that could be a tragedy 'cause Jim can't even swim.

So he sat there with that dumb grin 'til he slipped and fell right in,
To his surprise & quick demise that's when he found out something grim...
Those so-called friends were quick to laugh but slow to rescue him,
Jim's last thought was "With friends like that, one needs gills and maybe fins."

Sometimes when a path divides it might seem impossible to cross,
But you'll find we're better off to build a bridge in spite of the cost.

I took my dog to Companion Animal Hospital for her last three years of life and have the best things possible to say about this clinic. Dr. Goldthwaite helped my dog all the way through to the end, helping to keep her healthy and her pain managed in spite of various health conditions. It's a very professional facility and we also used it numerous times for boarding. They offer particularly affordable options for boarding compared to other places. If I get another dog I will definitely go to Companion again!

Instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and patient with my two boys. The Dojo is a little small but it makes for an intimate personal environment. You can also park at the car wash behind if there are no primary spaces... It's the instructors that keep us coming back! My boys have a love for martial arts now.

Chuck E. Cheese doesn't have real "arcade" games. The "games" they have are really bad machines that pretty much just eat kids tokens as fast as they can put them in. Often they don't even work, and when your tokens get eaten -- good luck getting a refund. You tell an employee who has to escalate it to the manager who is never to be found - and then they really don't want to give you the refund (of a 25 cent token.) So they go to the machine and you have to prove it doesn't work. Then they reluctantly give you a refund of a single token after 15 minutes of waiting. Unbelievable. The employees are generally unhelpful and don't seem to want to be there. In spite of all of this, it's usually incredibly crowded. I don't recommend it at all.

This is a classic old fashioned diner - but in a GOOD way. The service is always friendly and the food is always good. The breakfasts are just good, basic breakfasts. Nothing fancy, but again - in a good way. Chace's Pancake Corral is leaps & bounds better than IHOP or Denny's. There's usually a wait on the weekends, so get there early. Also, the tables are a little close together because it's a small space but the overall vibe is homey, friendly, and sort of reminds me of an America that probably only existed in shows like Leave It To Beaver. I love this place.

The company I work for sent us as a team building thing and it was great! The Battlepods are a bit dated, but it doesn't matter - as long as you have a group to play with it's super fun. There's probably 35(?) or so arcade machines around to play, too, and the guys that run it are pretty chilled out & helpful. Thumbs up, had a good time.
