Today is National Tortilla Chip day. For some of us, every day might be Tortilla Chip day, though. Here are some truly fascinating facts about this crispy, crunchy chip that's also one of our favorite things here at the Jungle. Actually, among the dozens and dozens of varieties on the floor, it's hard for us to come up with just one favorite out of them all! What's your favorite tortilla chip?

Ugly, maybe. Delicious? Absolutely. We have an entire section dedicated to marked down fruits and vegetables (and maybe some cheese and a few other things) that might be a little on the beat up side, but are just as tasty and nutritious as their prettier counterparts found throughout the Produce and International Produce Departments. Located next to the Produce Departments of both our locations, we encourage you to come check things out… Product changes every day, so you know never know what you’ll find!

Want to find out more about the so-called Ugly Food movement? Here’s another article to shed some light on what we’ve been doing here for years: http://goo.gl/xBEljl
As much as a third of the produce grown on some farms is rejected because it doesn't meet beauty standards. But it's still tasty and healthy. One big firm is now telling growers: Give us your uglies.

The Big Cheese Festival is a whirlwind weekend devoted to all things cheese. Starting with our selection of over 1,400 cheeses at the Jungle Jim’s Cheese Shop, and branching out to all the olives, meats, and appetizers we can gather, we’re paying tribute to one of our favorite foods! We’ll have family friendly activities throughout both days, and beer and wine will be available for those 21 and over. There’s a lot to sample, a lot to share, and a whole lot more where that came from.

Awesome store! Warning, it's not a place for just a quick stop. We love trying cheese (Dutch smoked Gouda is our favorite), produce, and candy from around the world. The produce changes seasonally, so it's worth multiple trips. Classic candies like candy cigarettes and sugar daddies are available the candy section. I'm also Dutch, and it has a nice little selection of imported candies and baking mixes, which can be otherwise hard to find.

This place has everything! And the employees are super friendly and helpful. I am excited to try the locally made honey (great for seasonal allergies). We also found some Tei noodles we've been looking for. Yum. This is far more than an in and out grocery, it's an experience. The kids enjoyed it too :-)

To call Jungle Jim's a grocery store is to call the Queen Elizabeth II a boat. It has an amazing--no, an astounding--selection of products. The international sections, divided by country, is larger than most supermarkets. If there is something you need, they have it, and if they don't they will get it for you. They have fresh everything. This is the IKEA of grocery shopping in that it's an experience to just go and walk through it all.

This place is straight out awesome. You can find just about everything you could ever want in here sans technology. It's clean and very amusing just to walk around and see what's in store. Highly recommend visiting this place any chance you could get. Make sure to look up at the ceiling (you might see Robin Hood 😎) this place does it right.

All international foods under one roof. Great selection, competitive prices. If you are from over seas, or from southern america, you have a 99% chance of finding what you had for sale in your local grocery back home. The atmosphere is also amazing, not a typical supermarket layout. Place is vivid and filled with life. For those who have never been, go check it out. You will find somethere from childhood that might no longer be selling at your local store, but sell in there. Would I recommend it? Yes, love the place.

This place is insane but in a good way. It's so big that you should definitely bring a couple coolers so you can stock up on things and only visit occasionally. The staff was super friendly and helpful; especially in the charcuterie section. The butcher/seafood department had some great choices and some great deals to boot.

Anything you could possibly want is at Jungle Jim's! Great wine and beer selection. So many food choices your head will spin! It truly is an international food shopping experience. Don't get overwhelmed by the size of the store. They have maps inside and plenty of help available.

THIS is the stop all my out of town visitors insist on seeing. You can find wonders and treasures and oddities. This is NOT a stop in for bread and milk kind of place. You will be distracted by all the shiny things. PLUS, the selection of beer, wine, cheese and even butter is amazing. Oh, and an acre of produce...did I forget to mention that?
