Today is National Tortilla Chip day. For some of us, every day might be Tortilla Chip day, though. Here are some truly fascinating facts about this crispy, crunchy chip that's also one of our favorite things here at the Jungle. Actually, among the dozens and dozens of varieties on the floor, it's hard for us to come up with just one favorite out of them all! What's your favorite tortilla chip?

Ugly, maybe. Delicious? Absolutely. We have an entire section dedicated to marked down fruits and vegetables (and maybe some cheese and a few other things) that might be a little on the beat up side, but are just as tasty and nutritious as their prettier counterparts found throughout the Produce and International Produce Departments. Located next to the Produce Departments of both our locations, we encourage you to come check things out… Product changes every day, so you know never know what you’ll find!

Want to find out more about the so-called Ugly Food movement? Here’s another article to shed some light on what we’ve been doing here for years:
As much as a third of the produce grown on some farms is rejected because it doesn't meet beauty standards. But it's still tasty and healthy. One big firm is now telling growers: Give us your uglies.

The Big Cheese Festival is a whirlwind weekend devoted to all things cheese. Starting with our selection of over 1,400 cheeses at the Jungle Jim’s Cheese Shop, and branching out to all the olives, meats, and appetizers we can gather, we’re paying tribute to one of our favorite foods! We’ll have family friendly activities throughout both days, and beer and wine will be available for those 21 and over. There’s a lot to sample, a lot to share, and a whole lot more where that came from.

I love Jungle Jim's. It is a huge store, but it's fun just walking around and seeing what new things they have. Occasionally you can find some really good deals on food, and more often than not, rock bottom pricing on alcohol. Their beer and wine selection is the best in the area. They have a station setup where you can try seasonal beers, which I love. The international sections in the grocery are great for hard to find ethnic foods and ingredients. Awesome store!

Truly an International market with such a wide selection of food items from across the world! 👍I think this place is also a tourist attraction, for I saw many people posing and clicking photos, or may be they were simply happy to be there, a food Nirvana of sorts. Anyway, I was able to find what I was looking for, and will keep visiting this place for some of my international cuisine grocery items. I did find that the prices are a bit higher, compared to when you go to say, just an Asian, or an Indian grocery store. P.S. I found fresh duck here! 👍

What more can possibly be said about Jungle Jim's? It's a one-stop shop for any kind of cuisine you could possibly want to prepare. In addition to being a massive international market they offer cooking classes and frequently have a variety of food and drink related events. If you are planning to visit Jungle Jim's for the first time make sure you give yourself plenty of time to walk around. I go on a biweekly basis and I still can't spend less than an hour and a half usually. I go often because I buy the Seven Hills Roasters coffee from them, which I highly recommend. Once I've gotten that I always have to walk around and see what interesting new items they have. It's easy to visit with kids also because the interior is full of interesting things for them to check out. Lots of animatronic figures, flashy decorations, and samples to try. My kids like to look at all the different kinds of fruits and veggies from around the world also, but not as much as they like the large selection of candy!

Best produce hands down! Hummus selection and crackers are exceptional! Worth the drive! Quality always worth the price! Clean well stocked store! No overspray in produce and no fake filled holes! All round professional team effort!

I love the selection of beer. Great draft rotation with 36 options. If you have questions about beer the beer guys are super friendly and really know all the beers they sell. Great place for a laid back date night, grab some sushi and a draft and take a seat at the high tops in the wine section and enjoy.

Jungle Jim's is by far the single best shopping experience in the Midwest. Their selection is unmatched by any big box grocer. You could spend hours shopping the aisles of this fabulous grocery retailer and still never see all that they carry. If you're looking for any ingredient for any recipe, odds are, you'll find it at Jungle Jim's. They have one of the freshest selections of fish anywhere in the Tri-State and their produce department carries a wide selection of out of season produce items that look as if they just came out of the field. Make a day of it and shop Jungle Jim's.

This is an amazing store with a huge variety of local, domestic, and international food and drinks. It is an absolutely huge store and I could spend hours wandering and finding things you would never see at a regular grocery store, such as a wide variety of hot sauces, spices, and hard to find beer and wine. The atmosphere is also fun and goofy, like the famous Port-a-john bathrooms and the fire truck near the hot sauce. Definitely recommended!

This is an awesome store. They seem to have just about anything food wise anyone might want. An entire isle for chocolate, two or so isles for hot sauce, things like that. It's an awesome store all around.
