"When Satan whispers in your ear, 'You aren’t strong enough, ' say, 'You are right, but Jesus is enough and he is always with me, providing what I need, when I need it.'” ~ Paul David Tripp

I'm incredibly grateful for the knowledge that this world is not our final Home. That truth makes getting through some of the messier days a bit easier. ("we have ... an eternal dwelling in the heavens" 2 Corinthians 5:1)

It’s easy to miss the blessings of what you have when you’re focusing on what you want. For years, I couldn’t fully appreciate the wonderful things in my life because I obsessed about having even more wonderful things. My arms held precious treasures, yet I wanted more riches.

Have you seen this to be true in your life? Do you find your heart wanting more instead of being grateful? Is it a struggle to find the good in your days?

Start with being intentional about giving thanks for what you do have.

We may not get everything we desire, but we’ll always get everything God promised and much more than we deserve! #gratitude

In Isaiah 30:15, we are called to be still—to rest, to lie in quiet confidence as the Lord delivers us, makes a way for us, becomes our strength. Yet I still tend to run ahead too often, sure I know the way and have the strength to make it. But once again we are told: “Happy are all who wait patiently for Him” (Isaiah 30:18d).

Confidence is never fulfilled in our strength, because one day, in some circumstance, our strength will fail. Our confidence must be placed in the all-knowing, all-caring, ever-faithful Lord of the universe, whose power is all-sufficient and whose love is everlasting.

This is especially important for all of us strong women to embrace!

You are an original! Live confidently in your uniqueness. When you feel like you're "not enough" in an area, help yourself believe differently; fill in the blank: "With God's help, I'm exactly enough to__________!" http://www.juliesunne.com/tell-yourself-you-are-enough/
