I may have been born in Brooklyn, NY but I am definitely a child of my ancestry. Give me some curry chicken any day over fried chicken. I want a Caribbean black cake where the fruits have been soaking in rum and brandy for years and browning gives it its characteristic black color, instead of …

These are so cute!
That recipe title…gah! Honestly, I have no idea what these cookies should be called. They look like linzers … this is true. But they aren’t. The cookies are cream cheese roll-out sugar cookies charmingly cut to be the caretakers of a lovely dollop of leftover jam. Leftover jam? It’s true, no lies. My family has …

Can't say enough about this place! I was so lucky that the piercers at the 2 other Charlotte shops I tried weren't available, because I googled around and read the great things about Black Cloud. I haven't had a piercing since the usual ear piercings when I was little, so I was really nervous to get my forward helix pierced. Roman was so nice and reassuring and professional (he's licensed and trained -- and has even taught piercing classes)! He made me feel so much better and knew just what to do to make the process fun and not scary. He used lidocaine so the piercing was barely painful at all and texted all the aftercare instructions. I'll definitely come back for anything else I want done. Thanks :)

I really love it here. I think the biggest draw for me is how SUPER NICE and welcoming everyone is. I'm not a fantastically bendy person, but all the instructors are really sweet and helpful. They also have a great class schedule (I can come early in the morning, grab a quick shower and get to work on time) and challenging-for-me classes that are 45 minutes long -- the perfect length for me.

Got a VERY quick $30 inspection just now (around 2 pm on a Thursday). Super easy, no fuss, and no telling me my car needs XYZ when it doesn't. Thanks :)

We just went to St. Jacques for my husband's birthday and it was really an incredible dining experience. The service was warm and gracious, and they made my husband feel special from the moment we arrived. The food was outstanding, also. We had the escargots, short ribs (my favorite!), a grouper special, and the "Chocolate Ball of Dream" for dessert. Every bite was perfection. We definitely want to return, and it was well worth the investment to have such a special night. Thank you, St. Jacques!

I waited for 5 years to make a dentist appointment because I have high anxiety about the experience and potential dental problems and high cost. This dental practice was such a blessing to me. Chelsea was SO nice with my cleaning (didn't hurt at all and she made me feel really comfortable) and I didn't have any issues -- I should've gone MUCH sooner. I made sure to make my 6 month follow-up appointment at the end so that I don't get off track again. So glad it was as easy and painless as it was!!

BEDBUGS. This was an awful hotel experience. We thought it was bad when the Wi-Fi didn't work at all (front desk kept repeating that we needed to open the browser. We know how it SHOULD work, but it didn't), TV didn't work. The worst part was when we moved a pillow and discovered a BEDBUG (see photo). We unfortunately hadn't seen the other reviews about this. We packed all of our things and left immediately to drive 2.5 hours back home and are now freezing/heating all of our luggage and clothing. What a huge mess. The hotel gave us a refund, but I really wish we didn't have to be terrified of a bedbug infestation now. Not worth it. DON'T STAY HERE.
