The event will bring together policy, education, technology and telecom industry leaders to address the growing homework gap among disadvantaged student.
The “homework gap is the cruelest part of the digital divide,” said FCC Commissioner Rosenworcel during the Hispanic Heritage Foundation Summit April 29th. “School age kids without broadband will enter the market with a huge handicap.”
The free event is open to the public and focused on giving experts, parents and students a voice in how to close the homework gap. The keynote is Federal Communications Commissioner Honorable Jessica Rosenworcel.
