Grodd has made his appearance and I loved it.  Can The Flash do no wrong?

With #Grodd , #TheFlash is leading the @CW_Network http://bit.ly/1PlGk0t ref @TheFlashPodcast Pls share, RT

"Tonight's episode of The Flash, "Grodd Lives," features of one of the scarlet speedster's most dangerous rogues: Gorilla Grodd.

It's a story I've been waiting a while to see. At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, I sat at the roundtable for the show and asked The Flash co-creator Greg Berlanti about the character's likely appearance. At the time, he would only say that Grodd would show up in some form by episode 7. Now we're at episode 21, and the super simian is not only getting top billing -- he's getting a stunning visual treatment ..."

I know what you mean. Nonetheless, they seem to have a strong sense of the mythology, but remain focus on making the characters compelling. This writing reminds me of how great comic writers can incorporate the narrative legacy from a character like Batman or Spider-Man, but find new things to say and do within a contemporary context.

Well, I think they are fearful of presenting Supergirl as "too" powerful and have decided to remedy that with a overly complex narrative. It isn't as fun as The Flash or as Dark as Arrow.  So, to your point, it will be difficult for the comic audience primed on that media and it will be difficult for audiences looking for a female action hero.

I'm not sure this is a setback. This show wasn't really adding something differnt to the MCU.
I hear ABC and Marvel have put the brakes on the proposed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff. The project was supposed to be set up by events from this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. and toplined by Season 2 c...
