Just want to say Hi and Thanks! Discovered DuckDNS through Richard's comment at Lifehacker. "Linux cron" setup example is excellent, enabled me to change my own script (originally for some other service) in no time.

I see two minor drawbacks: (a) donations only over PayPal, which I'd rather avoid; (b) login/auth only over other services.

The latter is not so much of an issue for myself (and I see the reason to avoid the extra authentication effort), but others might not like it so much.

Anyway, let's see how it works once my address really changes. :–)

Thanks again, and regards,
Juergen.

Satoshi Nakamoto (*1) hiding under the assumed name Satoshi Nakamoto (*2)

In stunning news dazzling top level investigative journalists and law enforcement officers alike, Satoshi Nakamoto (*1) has been found now. By using the assumed name Satoshi Nakamoto (*2) he managed to keep the bloodhounds of his tracks for years.

Sources within law enforcement report, that he also may have exploited a legal loophole by living under an assumed name identical to his real name. Any indictment for this is considered a hard nut to crack. "Such things should bloody well be illegal," disgruntled FBI agents can be heard.

The Department of Homeland Security is worried that terrorists may enter the country undetected by using their real name. "Our no-fly list full of imaginary names, harmless travelers and potentially embarrassing witnesses has been significantly reduced in terms of effectiveness."

"This is not fair", reporter Cantfindmyass complained. "Not only was he cheating with his assumed name, but he even dared to be of Japanese origin. Who in hell would assume such a thing with a name like Satoshi Nakamoto (*2)? Had he been named Satoshi Nakamoto (*1), we would have known where to look."

While I don't partake in the Bitcoin fad, I take this as yet another reason to keep away from the US. I am afraid (yes, I really am!) I am not prepared to deal with absurdities like this in a way that does not let me end up in a cell.
Did you know that 80% of Bitcoins in circulation contain traces of Snow Crash?

"To suggest anonymity should be forbidden because of troll-noise is just as bad as suggesting a ban on protesting because the only demonstrators you have ever encountered are from the Westboro Baptist Church—the trolls of the picket world."
