No, I would mean a kind of photography that doesn't lead to a stream of narration - don't know if those are too good examples: Ansel Adams in landscape photography, or maybe in street or street style photography The Sartorialist, Mapplethorpe in nude photography. I think those are photographers that do not aim mainly in telling stories, but are thinking in categories like aesthetics, or beauty, or mood, or emotions etc.
