Such a great photograph!

Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano, has erupted again - with lava streaming down its sides and smoke rising from the crater.

Artglass Lampwork Beads & Jewelry
Introduction
I make lampwork glass beads and jewelry. I love lampwork glass beads (aka artisan or art glass beads) and I make them myself one bead at a time. I melt rods of glass in the flame of a lampworking torch and wind the molten glass around a thin steel rod called a mandrel. The beads are constructed layer by layer working from the inside out and a single floral focal bead can take me in excess of two hours to complete.

I have recently returned to making jewelry and find myself increasingly drawn towards making lampwork beads with a specific jewelry design in mind.

I live in sunny Brighton, on the south coast of  England with my long suffering husband. I spend my days in my studio working with molten glass making lampwork glass beads and silver jewelry.
I love colour, pattern & sparkle, in my life it is always all about the beads!

Please check out my website Judith Johnston Lampwork Beads to buy my art glass beads and learn more about me and the beads.

I have a lampwork bead and jewelry shop on Etsy too JudithBeads

I also have a blog JudithBeads, come on over and say hi I'm always happy to find new friends online.
