Attend 3 “HOT” Author and Book Publishing Days in August in Denver. The Book Shepherd, Judith Briles presents her annual 3-day event August 27-29. If you want to learn about awesome gizmos and gadgets to ease your author life and how to immediately use them; how to create your GamePlans for your book, crowdfunding and marketing; insider strategies for publicity and book launches; how to create the perfect pitch; how to develop a speech around your book and structure stories to engage your audience; resurrect a book that is limping along; social media tricks that will soar your book; and how to make serious money as an author … you want to be there.

This is direct coaching from Judith the entire time including taking your book and pushing/recommending it out to millions in hot seats and showing you how to do it as well. Your meals are included. Details are on her website: www.TheBookShepherd.com under Events. There are only 5 spots left for attendees. Will one be yours?

Creating and coaching successful authors with practical publishing guidance.
Introduction

I'm Judith Briles, an Author and Publishing Expert and known as The Book Shepherd, showing authors and writers how to create books that have no regrets and be successful with practical publishing guidance. I'm the Founder of Author U (niversity), a membership organization dedicated to serious authors who want to be seriously successful. As The Book Shepherd, I work with a variety of authors as a blunt, butt-kicking, benevolent book publishing coach. Personally, I have published 31 books--18 with NY houses, the remainder with an independent publisher, Mile High Press, which I created in 2000. Foreign rights have been sold to 16 countries. My latest books are Snappy Sassy Salty: Wise Words for Authors and Writers, Author YOU: Creating and Building Your Author and Book Platforms and  Show Me About Book Publishing, co-written with John Kremer and Rick Frishman. Info can be found at www.TheBookShepherd.com. All books are available on Amazon.

In 2013, the Publishing Siren series birthed Author YOU: Creating and Building Your Author and Book Platforms--the accompanying audio delivers a dynamic set for the author with the book. In the Spring of 2014, Snappy Sassy Salty: Wise Words for Authors and Writers will be published.

I'm the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Author U(niversity), a membership organization for serious authors who want to be seriously successful. It's website is www.AuthorU.org

Partnered with Amy Collins, Georgia McCabe, Joan Stewart, Penny Sansevieri in www.PublishingAtSea, creating sold book publishing, social media and marketing savvy. The first conference was in January 2013 and generated rave evals from all the attendees.

In addition to expertise in publishing (have been speaking at and chairing publishing conferences since the 80s), my doctorate is in business administration with a specialty in the female dominated workplace. Publishing multiple books on the topic of women, betrayal and sabotage (Stabotage!, Zapping Conflict in the HealthCare Workplace), as well as personal finance (Money Smarts for Turbulent Times).
Bragging rights
Have personally published 31 books-18 with NY houses; 13 with my own imprint, Mile High Press.Honored to have my titles picked up in 16 countries. Know multiple sides of publishing and I'm pleased to say that I'm a "recovered book publishing snob"--there are so many fabulous options for authors today. Huge advocate for authors who have been duped by the "publishing predators" that are breeding in the pay-to-publish arena. I'm amazed at the membership quality of AuthorU.org, a group I founded in 2009 that has members all over North America and flock to the annual Author U Extravaganza the first weekend in May. Thrilled to have so many of my authors who I personally work with in the creation of their books achieve financial success and garnered many national book awards. Very cool! What I know--how to create the Author and Book Platforms that create a solid business ... one that can create millions in revenues. Is it work? Of course, but it becomes "the work." Love it!

Awful would be the best word. Food was COLD that should have been HOT. The sauces looked like and tasted like the can had just been opened and dumped on the enchildas and burritos. Sevice was dismal. We live in the neigborhood and could have been frequent customers. Will never go back.
